Halo 3 release month announced? Not likely

See past the commercial young Jedi. Look at the license plates. We don't know if this was planted viral marketing to generate hype, but we'll bite and let the masses take over from there. The license plates of the cars in this Xbox 360 ad are: "GOW 1106" and "HA LO307." GOW 1106 could stand for Gears of War, which was released in November of '06 (11/06). Now look at the other license plate, HA LO307, which can clearly be seen at the :50 marker. Does this mean we'll see Halo 3 in March of '07 (03/07) or does it mean "HALO3 / 07" meaning Halo 3 comes out in '07? The commercial definitely lends itself to some speculation and -- considering there is no confirmed release date -- speculation is all anybody has at this point. However, companies are more than happy to take your pre-order money now if you wish.

I will take Halo 3 in march thank you.

They're just trying to cause a fuss about March. I just posted it because I thought it was cool they took the time to put cool plates into a commercial.

As far as I can tell, there's no March in that plate, unless of course they're talking about a re-release of the original Halo, then HALO307 would make sense, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say they won't be re-releasing that in March 2007.

Also, since Spring officially starts March 21, 2007, and we get a public BETA test in Spring 2007, I'd say the likelihood of the game shipping prior to the BETA is almost unheard of.

I cannot believe we are having this discussion after all the years of big releases and the how the SAME pattern it used.

Don't believe any websites, not so called quotes, not retail sites and their fake ass release dates. It will be announced by Bill or Peter, live on a video stream during a trade show, end of effing story!! No wait, it's not the end!!!

Launching in March wouldnt get them near as many sales as they'd get from a Holiday launch. Sure 3 million is a lot, but 5 is better.

The user base excuse alone is proof. Launch Halo 3 when there are 11 million consoles or launch it when there are 16 million?!

I cannot believe I have to type this in 2006 after all that we've witnessed!

This is like Halo 2 all over again The intelligent ones somehow get blinded and want to believe anything they read or hear.

The launch date will be announced at either CES or E3(or whatever its called now) and as I predicted on Halo 2(and was correct)..... Halo 3 will launch between October 1st and November 22nd.

Those who doubted me before ate their words. Every big launch will be around Thanksgiving, it doesnt get any simpler than that.

EVERY single big launch MS has given the world was in November

Xbox: November 15th
Live: November 15th(or 14th?)
Halo 2: November 9th
360: November 22nd
Gears: November 7th or whichever day you got it, lol

Not to mention even the 3rd party games hit around the holidays, it is not by accident.

If It doesnt launch between the dates I mentioned above. I will buy a ps3(only to shoot it ofcourse) but I will still buy one and hence ban myself from PGL.
