I finally started the campaign...

And it is simply amazing.

My wife was leaving to go shopping with a friend on an early Saturday afternoon, so I took the opportunity to play catch-up on one of my games. Halo 3 was already in the 360 from the night before, and I didn't want to change it out. So, I began the campaign. I wasn't able to put the controller down for hours.

I intend to finish it on solo for now, but I could definitely see some levels where playing it on Co-op would be even more awesome. I'm sure I'll be looking to get some co-op games going once I complete the game.

I just completed the part where you fly in the hornets over to the third tower, and shut it down. After I shut it down, the flood crash landed, and that's where I saved it. Can anyone tell me about how much I have left? Am I more or less than half way through?

Yeah. Well, I had started the campaign back when I first bought it (when it first came out), but I got frustrated on the first level and ended up quitting. I would have stuck with it, but I had about 12 other new games and there was no motivation. Having played through and loved the first two games, it was inevitable that I would eventually get back to it, though.

There are 9 levels, Cause. yeah, you're roughly 1/2 way through I think. When you want to co-op, shout out. It's a blast on Legendary with 4.

Quo is right Co op with 4 guys is a good time. Don't forget to pick up skulls & intel as you run thru. The game really changes when you activate some of the skulls. The one that makes the grunt heads explode as party confetti is always a good time.

I'm not getting the skulls on my first run through... just because I don't know where to look and I'm more interested in playing through for the story. However, in co-op, I'll definitely be up for a skull hunt.

Well I finally beat it last night. I found out I was only playing it on Normal, so that would be why I was able to finish the game so fast.

Thanks to Epyon who caught up with me for a co-op match right as I finished the campaign and was watching the end credits. I had a blast and look forward to more co-op soon.
