Foundry's great because it's so versatile (people gripe that it's not a good slayer map, but since I'm not one of those guys that only plays slayer I don't care). Standoff, imho, is the best Halo3 map, period. I think it's that good. It's fun for slayer and all the objective-type games. The only one I'm not real big on is the indoor track one.
I'd love it if they would go old-school and offer up some classic maps redone for H3...

If it includes a big open map of any kind then I'm probably willing to buy it. I still think that's the one thing Halo 3 is lacking.

and maybe it's just me... but shouldn't map remakes be free? I mean come on, now... if I'm paying for DLC, I want original content. Give me the remakes for free!

Remakes are a mixed bag for me. If they bring back a map that was great, and enhanced by the new mechanics of the game, I'm all for it.
There could be the argument that a remake should be included with the game, instead of charging somebody for a "reused" map.
I would argue (damn! my lame ass professor says that all the time!!) that it would be best to have all new maps with the game, so the people who buy the game don't feel cheated. Offering the remake as a map pack allows people to choose if they are willing to pay for a map they have already played.
