Where's a hammer, this song is killing me!!!!!

I know we have a thread for what song people enjoy playing, I thought we should have a thread on what song is killing people to play (not very or can't get past at the monent).

Right now for me, other than everything medium and above on difficulty, since I just started that level, is Raining Blood (Slayer 1986) on Easy. I can't even finish the song, I'm think I've got like 45% through it. The funny part, I've got five stars on all the other songs. I thought Cult of Personality was a frustrating, LOL. Took me a couple hours, and a nights sleep, to get past it.

It took me a while to beat that song. You just have to play enough to memorize the note patterns.

Ironically enough, right after I started this thread and did the OP, I tried the song, and passed it. Only got three stars, but it's a start. It's probably one of those annoying songs where you need to above 95% or something; this is assuming stars are based on accuracy rather than score.

I had a really hard time with Knights of Cydonia. That one just kicked my butt. Still, one of my favorite songs in the game, though!

Check here. That lists the score you have to be in order to five a song in any of the GH games. I've had 98% accuracy before and 4-starred a song.

That song just kind of blows me away because it just seems way harder than then the rest of the songs. Granted, I thought Cult of Personality was significantly more difficult then the other songs, excluding Blood Rain, but it was a matter of hammering down for the main reif.

On a side note, scorehero.com does have a nice little signature line icon, similar to our gamertag ones, but it's not free. I haven't figure out the price.

Right after I bought this game, I went through it on medium. I've been going back and making sure I've finished and gotten at least 4-5 stars on each, but the only song that I haven't even bothered to try yet is Raining Blood. It just doesnt seem like a fun song to play.


Otherwise, playing it on hard right now, the song that's currently got me stumped is "Talk Dirty To Me" by Poison.

I've 5-stared all easy and medium. Raining Blood IS hard.
I was working on 100% all songs on easy for a while.

I'm the 3rd tier through Hard. It just gets crazy and my brain is having a heck of a time telling my thumb to hit that 'A' button.

I do all mine on controller though... if that makes a difference.

I can't stand Raining Blood. I have tried too many times to count. My buddy has tried to help me, but neither of us can get it. So boo that.

I have no problem beating any of the songs on medium, but as soon as I crank it up to hard, I can't beat any of them. It seems like a huge leap in difficulty to me.

The Iron Maiden songs in both GH II and GH III killed me the first few times.

Play a little on expert. Obviously don't expect to win, but try to hit the buttons. I can get almost 85% of the way through the first song before I fail.

When you go back to hard it should feel easier. You just have to train your brain to respond to the colors faster.

The jump from Medium to Hard is rough, the jump from Hard to Expert isn't that bad. Once I got Hard down, Expert was fairly doable(although I still can't beat Raining Blood on either difficulty). The main difference is the enhanced solos. On Hard they are "Crazy", on Expert they are "F*cking Ridiculous".

I feel ya there. But like Adaughen said, just getting the brain to hit that last button, and your gold.

Anyone played with the hyperspeed cheat on? What a F-ing trip that is!
