I've had an opportunity to spend some quality time with it (benefit of being in the business, I suppose) and I'm loving it. The song selection is great, and I really like that many more of the songs are not covers, but are the actual bands.

The Tom Morello "boss battle" was pretty cool too. I won't say any more to spoil it for anyone else.

My kids were pretty excited about it tho when I first opened the box!!

Great game. I'm having to reeducate myself since I haven't played a GH game the OG one. But even easy and medium are fun.

I picked it up at Best Buy's midnight release last night (had a 10% off coupon, and $25 in reward zone gift certificates).

I'm digging it so far...like AZ said, glad more of the songs are by the original bands and not covers. Boss battles are pretty cool, and I could definitely see xbox live play being pretty fun against my bro-in-law in Houston (haven't tried yet).

What a great game!!! Excellent song selection, they didn't tinker with the gameplay, and the boss battles are awesome. The only regret I have with purchasing GHIII is that it may cut into my Halo 3 fragfests!! THAT'S FRAGFEST!!!

Has anyone tried the co-op game modes yet? I'd really like to give this a shot with some PGLers; I think that would be a lot of fun!

Maybe someone can help me get 5 stars on Raining Blood. That is, by far, the song I have the hardest time with.

can somebody clarify this for me? i thought that gh3 came with a wireless guitar, but i looked at it at sams club and it looked wired and said nothing on the packaging, is it wireless? is there a special package that has wireless?

Name, some retailers are selling GHIII with the wired Xplorer from GHII. Sucks, I know. I don't know why either. GS has the Les Pauls though.

BTW, AZ, Raining Blood is my least favorite song. I 5-starred every other easy song on the first playthrough, but that song wouldn't let me keep a multiplier going. I'll give it another go tomorrow, I just 5-starred Psychobilly Facefuc....., I mean, Psychobilly Freakout on Normal, so I may be ready.

someone hit me up with an invite for co-op!

I just 5 starred the easy tour last night. The boss battles are a great idea! I loved the ending, too. So fitting!

The secret song at the end was challenging on easy....I cant wait for medium! Hard and Expert will be impossible with the controller though.
