So, what's your favorite song to play so far? "Life Wasted" has a special place in my heart because that's the one I got 100% on, but so far I've really enjoyed all of the encore songs. I liked "Sweet Child of Mine", but I think "Stop" by Jane's Addiction is my current fave. I like it so much more when I know the song well.

Even though I haven't purchased this on 360 yet, my favorite track on the PS2 version was "Who was in my Room Last Night" by The Butthole Surfers. I don't know if that'll change with the new guitar though.

Unlocked Rush's "YYZ" today. Man, did that thing kick my trash on medium. However, I rocked out to Suicidal pretty well!

Great thread AZ. I have actually been meaning to start this myself but I have been to preoccupied trying to get gamerpoint to beat Aetherhole to 15k. Now that I have completed that you have gone and beat me to it. Anyway I would "mother" by Danzig. Not sure what it is but I love playing this song. We really need some Metallica songs though. I would probably by a 3 pack of Metallica songs for 500 points.

Some Metallica would be great! I finally unlocked "Freebird" last night. I thought it was hysterical that I had to say yes, I wanted to play it like 5 times to launch the encore.

I think I hit the first 200 notes or so, and I was thinking, man this is easy. Then, it got to the fast part in the middle and I got my trash kicked. Ended up with 4 stars on it though; not too bad.

At what point do you start unlocking new songs? Oh, my daughters favorite song is Surrender. She is only 6 and I hear here singing this song all the time! Funny. And then last night I was watching a few minutes of Fast Times, and the one guy, the ticket scalper dude is selling tickets to some guy and he sings a bit of Surrender so the would be ticket buyer. Funny!

Nice! You start unlocking songs when you are on Medium difficulty, I believe. Then, once you pass 4 of the 5 songs in the group, it won't cutaway to the results screen. Instead, the crowd will be asking for an encore, and the game will ask if you would like to do it. Select "yes" and you've unlocked a new song! (Although I did notice an achievement that you get by saying no to an encore...)

I don't want to spoil any surprises for you, but Freebird is the last encore on medium. You have to pass all 5 songs in the last group to get it.

I tried some on hard yesterday and the game kicked my trash. That orange fret is going to be a problem for me...

You have to get through 4 of the 5 songs to get 5 more. I did it Saturday night... That's right you all better watch out now I got 3 stars on four songs. "I ROCK!!"

On a side note my cousin came over yesterday for our Wii and GH2 party and his first try got 4 stars on a song and beat a son on medium. It just goes to show you the young still have us old farts when it comes to gaming.

Wow are you guys serious? Are you really having trouble with this game? I am almost though getting all songs on medium done with 5 stars. Keep practicing.
