GTA "Hood" site with Google Maps and Mission help

We are happy to announce the successful launch of IGN's second "Territory" site, Grand Theft Auto 'Hood, which is packed full of interactive goodies for our IGN community to play with. Key among these are:

Interactive Liberty City Google Map -- Anything found in Grand Theft Auto IV's Liberty City can and will be marked on the map; buildings, vehicles, people, mission waypoints, etc. Players can add their own discoveries to the map to share with the community.

Yelp-style Mission Guides -- With help of Mark Ryan Sallee and his IGN Guides team, GTA 'Hood is providing fully user-editable Mission guides which include detailed wiki walkthroughs, interactive mission map waypoints and player ratings.

Top Contributors Leaderboard -- To encourage community interaction, everything a user can do in the 'Hood site is rewarded with points. Points-earning activities include discovering new map locations, editing wiki content, adding a comment. As a user gets more points they are promoted to higher ranks in the site, such as Foot Soldier, Enforcer or Boss. We hope our community will enjoy this system and feel encouraged to participate; here are some early indicators of how the community is interacting with the site over the first 24-hour period:

Total Mission/Wiki Add/Edits: 384
Total non-staff users that have contributed: 82

I am checking out the site now and it looks like this will be helpful with finding some of the missions. The interactive google map is pretty cool too.

Wow... just WOW!!

Unbelievable when you turn some of the legend stuff on to see just how MUCH there is to do in this game!! And that's only stuff that people have found in a couple of days!

I thought I was aware of what was in Liberty City - dude, I had NO clue!!!

Yeah. Kind of helps to know that I am on the right mission path and havent missed too much yet. There is a ton of things to do this in game.

Just driving around town in a jacked Hummer pushing all the other cars out of the way was fun for me last night.

Yeah the best thing in GTA is when you start you dont know 25% of the stuf you can ACTUALLY DO, and once you think you've found something huge and its fun to do, you find out its just a tiny portion of the game. Plus in GTA the simple things please, and could keep you busy for a long time.
