video Chat

hoping someone will have some sort of help because I am at a loss. I have the new vision camera for the 360 and it works great except that I can not video chat. Now I am sure this is do to my connection because when I try to chat with Mahkila I get an error stating that "network connection maybe to slow to support video chat". Now everything works fine when I am playing games online such as UNO, it's the video chat that is impossible to get to work. I have checked my NAT settings they are ok, I have checked my internet download and upload speeds with an online test and that rated in at a little over 5Mbps/384Mbps. My connection from my router to my 360 is wired so that rules out the wireless issues. When I try to connect to Mahkila and get the error message I can see him after the message but he cannot see me, so strange. So if anyone has a clue on what may be the problem please help me.

I was having the same problems when trying to chat with Danger/Wonder. I just picked this up last night.

At first it didn't work, and then it did for about 30 seconds. I could see Danger the whole time, but eventually I cut out. Maybe tonight I'll try and plug right into the modem, and see if that is the issue.

Yeah, that was the suck last night man. I plugged directly in at one point too and you still couldn't connect to our chat.

I wonder if tomorrow's dash update will do anything.

I believe it will.

I've had the camera since launch and the one time I've done video chat, it worked fine. Likewise for the once I played UNO.

However, recently, its been having problems. It'll frequently shut off (the green light goes away) then it'll slow the console down to restart it.

My guess is the quick and nasty update they gave us in September didn't quite update the firmware enough.

I've never had any problems using my camera - in game or video chat. I do video chat alot with out of state family and friends. This is all running off a wireless 360 to a M$ MN700 wireless G router. One thing I don't like is the amount off heat the camera makes just to make the green ring glow. Wish there was an option to disable it...guess I can just do it myself !

That thing generates heat?? Wow! That's crazy! I never noticed that. I don't have mine plugged in all the time but next time I do I'm gonna see how hot it gets. That's weird. Isn't it an LED?

I've chatted with Wonder and Danger twice now and it worked great. (Nice PJs.) Yeah, and that little thing does get hot. I was surprised also by the amount of heat it generated. Ahhh..it's winter. All the extra heat in the house is welcome.

I tried twice, and it only worked for a little. This was right when it came out though, so maybe it is better now.
