| A interesting video on 360 wireless headset I was doing some looking about the wireless headset problems and found this video on youtube. I have also noticed that this is the case with my setup. Take a look.

| Link works. I wonder if the issue is having the headset on BEFORE turning on the controller? I always turn my controller on and then I don't turn my headset on until a bit later. Usually when entering a game where I need it. I then always turn the headset off before I turn off the console.
Crippler - try out a few different combinations of how you turn on/off the headset and see if you can get it to work based on that info and let us know. Great find on that video and props to the guy who made it.

| Well when I bought my 360 at launch it was a bundle. One controller was of course packaged within the 360 box and the 2nd was a separate controller. I also have the same problem one controller works the other does not. | |

| interesting issue. I don't know if that problem has been resolve with later manufactured batches of headsets.
I don't understand why one would turn on the headset before the controller unless they were wanting to do a private chat over the dashboard or movie, but I think you would still need to use the controller first to do the invite or something.

Im not positive but as i recall the wireless headset was originally planned as a launch product, but they could not figure out why it was connecting to the system as an extra controller, thus blocking the quadrant. I later purchased a 3rd gen console, and using my same old controller, i had no problems.. so who knows wtf it was.. all i know is that microsoft knows that this problem exists because it postponed their launch of in my opinion one of the best accesories for the 360

| that's an old video. I believe M$ had solved that issue with the 2nd batch of wireless controllers. I would check xbox.com in the forums if you're have an issue. | |

I don't have the problem with not being able to stay on channel 1, but my controller does de-sync continuously and I have had complaints about the feedback. I should try it with my wired controller at some point. I will have to try and get the headset, it's charger and my xbox all in the same place at the same time.

Also, I still have the controller that I got with my system (which only needed to be sent back once, fingers crossed) and it gets along with my headset just fine.
