Need some help

I am trying to create a cd or dvd slideshow.

I have been trying to use the "NERO" program which is what I use to burn audio cd's but when I try to compile my pics and preview my show the pics turn out extremely grainy and look like shit so I just cancel the whole thing.

When I open the pics and view them in my documents they look really good.

Is there a reason this is happening? Is it the program and if so, is there a good one out there that someone would recommend?

Check your settings in Nero, it sounds like its converting them to another format or resolution

Nero sucks. But if you are gonna use it, definitely check the settings. Depending on how much music and how many photos you are putting on, it may be attempting to compress them. Remember also that viewing them on your computer will be at a high rez, while on a DVD will be 480i or 480p at most. That will account for some softness.

If you are using Vista then Windows Photo Gallery can make a slideshow dvd for you. It's fairly simple to use.
