Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hill Valley, 2015 Age: 25 | Encountered a funky little bug tonight. Earlier today (or possibly yesterday), I logged in and chose to let GYG keep me logged in (clicked the little box underneath the login screen). So I added some games to my queue and went to work.
So I go to GYG tonight to let AZ know that mailed Motorstorm back today. First thing I noticed was that it said my account was in Pending status. I clicked on it and got this friendly message: Quote:
Your current rental status is Pending. This status indicates one or more of the following:
* Get Your Gamez is in the process of activating your account manually. You will be notified via email when your account has been activated. If you believe this to be an error or you have not been notified of your account activation, please email Get Your Gamez at info@getyourgamez.com
* You have not completed the rental sign-up process. To complete your rental subscription to Get Your Gamez, Click Here
You may still use your current account to buy Games from Get Your Gamez, however no rental items in your rental list are currently being processed.
| I was like WTF? So I went and clicked on the "Mark as Returned" button for Motorstorm, and it says that I have no games in my Purchase list.
I thought something was a little funky, so I logged out and then back in. Everything seems to be fine now. I even got an email saying that I marked the game as return. Might be just a software bug in the system or something. Just thought I'd let you know!

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Hill Valley, 2015 Age: 25 | Also AZ, and I don't know if you can change this or what, but there seems to be some conflicting information in the email that's sent out after a game has been marked as returned. I've highlighted the parts that seem to conflict: Quote:
Greetings
This is an automatic e-mail informing you that the following item has been marked as returned by Get Your Gamez on July 9, 2007:
MotorStorm
Thanks for using Get Your Gamez and treating our Items with care. Another selection will be mailed to you shortly along with a notification e-mail informing you of the next title that you will receive.
When you are done with the Item place it in its protective sleeve and self-addressed postage paid envelope. Send it back to us via any U.S. Postal Service mailbox or outlet and we'll send you your next available selection as soon as we receive your return. | The first paragraph makes it seem like the next game in the queue will be shipped out ASAP, while the second sounds like the next game in the queue will be shipped out after the game is received.
I don't have a problem understanding it, but some customers may find it confusing. That is, those that read their emails. Just my .02.

The picture you show for Fifa 06 on 360 is the case for Fifa 06, Road to fifa world cup, released @ 360 launch. There is also a Fifa 2006, which was released summer 06.
Also, in the description, it says "Unknown Format". Is this for DVD, Cd, Blu ray etc?
Edit: It seems for almost every 360 game, [Gears of War example], you have the format as CD-ROM. There aren't any CD rom games on 360, or xbox for that matter.

| First of all, I'm really enjoying the service so far. Unlike Gamefly, whose shipping times were abysmal, I'm finding that I receive games in 3 or so days, which works perfect with the 2 at a time plan. The "Mark as Returned" feature is great, as it also cuts down on the time it teakes to receive the next game.
My only complaint, and it's with the site functionality and not the service, is the rental queue. It would be much easier to use if you could click and drag games around the queue, as opposed to renumbering the order in which you would prefer to receive them. The click and drag interface is much quicker, though I'm not sure if that's an option that's available. Just a thought.
Otherwise, I love the service and plan to take you guys up on your "Purchase" feature when I latch on to a particularly worthy game.

Here's something coming down the pipeline though; we're close to adding a referral program. If you get a friend to sign up, we'll send $5 your way! Keep an eye out for our "Want to make 5 bucks the easy way?" (my idea) promotion. Hopefully that will be ready soon. | I would assume a good review is something in paragraphs, professional looking, with a few mistakes and some detail. A great review is like one of Grants.

| The review idea will just lead to people writing half-assed reviews for the sake of making quarters. | |

I felt great about it.. But it was shot down.
.....Interesting enough, Mrs. AZ was really on the fence about it but finally decided against it. Dang it!!!

(Currently unemployed) However, did you ever consider placing a link for New Releases and Most popular rentals.. Kinda like GF. Also, would it be possible to add release dates to the titles if one is available? I see a lot of games on there that aren't released yet, some of which I know the release dates, but it would make it easier for me and most people to not have to go research the release dates for titles. Thanks!
