So GYG can mail off the discs. They get taken to your your local post office. Then go to the regional distribution center. Go back to your local post office and then taken to your house or PO Box. Still 3 - 4 days. I'm with Quo, NC is a good idea.

Ex: The xbox 360 repair center in TX is in McAllen. The repair center is less than 10 miles away from my house. It still took about a month to get my 360 back.

this new shipping center is all news to me, when did this come about? AZ is a little on the central side so a second facility would be hard to place. i would say to stay centralized, but more in the north west middle states, like Missouri. if matt and jackie are considering Oklahoma, i might be able to help out there.

AZ mentioned in the GYG turns one post that one of their goals for the next year were to hopefully open up another center.

They haven't announced another center.

Goals for 2008:
• Expand B2B model to continue growth; obtain commitments for every night of the week
• Hire employees to help maintain B2B business model
• Expand business by adding a distribution center in central or eastern United States
• Expansion of retail office space
• Expansion of management/ownership group by adding additional partner(s)
• Advertising focus on radio and television ads
• SEO growth and blog development

Yep, just like Supa said, this is definitely one of our goals for the year, and obviously one of the more challenging ones to reach. But we've enjoyed everyone's responses; seems like a lot of people want us to expand into their hometown...

I would love to see East Coast, seeing how im there... but central US might cut it down by a day so shoot, im up for wherever! lol.

i would like to perhaps see a little less wait time on the hugely popular games, you know?

That's a good point Justin. One thing that we've learned is that the huge releases are definitely a numbers game. The best thing that you can do is add the highly anticipated games to your queue as early as possible. We do our ordering from distribution at least a month in advance, and we base that order primarily on how many queues a particular game is in. We try to get enough copies in to at least handle that first shipment.

If we order too many or mis-forecast the quantity that we need, we end up sitting on 15 copies of Two Worlds that don't move in months, as an example. Customer service is extremely important to us; we try to make sure that every customer has a great experience. And, delivery time and game availability is a big part of that.

We'll keep working at it though!
