So, last night was our first endeavor into the world of hosting a Rock Band night at a local RT O'Sullivan's, and we had a blast! This is something that we're looking to get more into because it's a great way to get the word out about our company (while rocking some DrumShhhh pads by the way) in a fun atmosphere. The place was a little slow for a Thursday night, but we had a constant stream of people playing for almost 4 hours. The manager would like to have us back on an upcoming Friday night and have a local beer sponsor the event, provide signage, etc.
It was interesting to see the various levels of talent in the drunken public. I'd say that half of the songs weren't even completed because somebody failed. Nobody was able to rock hard or expert, but that will probably change over time. We did have two different groups of ladies who kept coming back over and over again to play though, which was a lot of fun, especially as they consumed more and more adult beverages.
So, for our first attempt, I'd definitely say that it was a success. We'll try to get some pictures of the next one!
