| Dude, that's not right. I'm representing pasty folks everywhere! (Seriously, would it have killed them to give me a little makeup? Damn!)
In the spirit of full disclosure, I wanted to let everyone know that it wasn't "free advertising." We actually had to pay for this spot (the amount isn't important...it was well worth it!). Typically local TV stations will offer air time for free if it's something of a public service (my wife and I were on all of the local stations a few years back for a childproofing business we ran, and it was free because it was a public service). But, if you're hoping to sell something, they'll charge you for it.
The cool thing is that, once you appear on one station, most of the others will come calling. They're incredibly competitive with each other, so we're hoping to get some love from the others as well.
Another great idea is to send the AP and local newspapers press releases. We've had some good luck doing this, and that does provide free advertising through print media. The lords may want to consider this for Cool Stuff, if you haven't done it already. It's a great feel good story; a small business taking on the corporate machine. That's the angle we used to get on Maxim radio every week!

Congrats bro!
I am still in disbelief that no one on this crew made a comment in regards to the TV show host...I am very proud of all of you for showing such maturity.
