My wife and I just came back from the car dealership (no, we haven't bought anything yet), and I noticed that all of the stickers on the cars had this on them. When I asked the lady about it, she told me it was what Nissan charges them, and it gets passed on to the customer.
Honestly, I have never seen this one before, even though I have seen some strange - but optional - fees. Is this something sneaky to you all?

| Yeah, that's on most of the new vehicles we've purchased in recent years. If you don't need a brand spankin' new vehicle, the most cost efficient way to purchase is a year or two old. | |

Turns out, the salesman flat-out refused to drop the fee, so we told him we found the same car for $500.00 cheaper a bit farther away, so we compromised on a $400.00 reduction in price. I guess I can live with that since we're already getting it $1000.00 over MSRP (including all taxes & other stuff that pisses you off). It's a good deal, I think. Wife needs a car, after all...

Anyway, the whole purchasing experience (including the drive to the credit union) took under 45 minutes. I think that's a new record for me. I'm even including the time it took to properly break in the back seats...
