Open Letter to NBC About Heroes

Well I decided to send NBC a little email about the show...


Hello,

I just wanted to say that I enjoy the show quite a bit, but I believe that the intro video is too long. I think if you were to cut it in half (time wise) that it would be much better for the show.

What intro video are you talking about? I've watched 15 episodes of season 1 now and the only thing I could come up with is the "Previously, on Heroes..." thing. In honesty, they should keep it. Sometimes people have trouble remembering what happened in the past show/s, so it's a nice recap and sums up what is being further explained in the current show.

As far as it being longer, you can pretty much rule that out. Since it's NBC and it's free, they have to fill some of that with commercials to pay for the airtime. Even if you the show made it to 55 minutes, you'd still have 20-30 minutes of commercials to sit through. I'm perfectly happy with the length of the show. It tells me enough of what I want but leaves me wanting more. Isn't that the whole point of a TV series?

Ok, are you freaking serious? That intro is not long at all. How about an immense interruption like the Smallville intro? You really wrote a letter to NBC about a moot point such as this? Wow, Canada's really weird apparently.

Just watch the freaking show dude. It's an excellent show, and if all you do is bitch about the 10 second long opening, then watch something else.

I think the air must be a little thin in Hill Valley.

Obviously those intros for Heroes and Lost are way too long. They take up like half of the show. The intro to Smallville is miniscule in comparison. Seriously you totally must be on something.

Well said, D. Couldn't agree more. I don't know if you are being serious or are trying to be funny, Gordon, but you are coming off a bit pretentious. Why the hate for a 10 second intro? Lay off the pot man!

With that said I'm not coming in this thread any longer as doing so will only allow hurtful things to be said. I'll continue to watch and enjoy Heroes with that insanely long 10 second intro.
