My trip to the Oakland A's baseball clinic

Here are some pictures from my trip the Oakland's A's Baseball Clinic 101. I would have linked the pictures, but there are about 20 of them. It's not too often you get to play on a MLB baseball field, 8).

Baseball:101 Clinic: John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System's Women's Heart Program and the Oakland A's present a baseball clinic for women to benefit women's cardiac care services on Tuesday, May 31 at McAfee Coliseum. Oakland A's coaches and front office staff will discuss and demonstrate the basics of Major League Baseball through a classroom setting and an on-field clinic beginning at 2:00 pm. The women will also participate in an autograph and photo session with an A's player, watch batting practice and learn how to officially score a game. Each participant in Baseball: 101 will receive a BBQ Terrace ticket to the A's vs. Devil Rays game, food and beverage and an A's player t-shirt. In addition, one of the women will win the opportunity to throw out that night's ceremonial first pitch.

Apparently this was the first year the event was opened to men. It was really fun. Plus, I got a lot bang for the buck, including two tickets to a game on June 18th.

That's great! I got the chance to play at Dodger Stadium once when I was in high school; man, was that cool.

That's cool AZ. The closest I got was being a mach player for MTv's Rock N Jock Superbowl II, where we played on the Chargers old practice field that was next to Qualquam (Jack Murphy) Stadium.

I'm not a big baseball fan, per se, but I thought it would be a very interesting time. I'm a die hard football fan. It was bit ackward since I hadn't put on a baseball glove in over ten years, which was the last time I had also swung a baseball bat, LOL. I kept trying to catch a baseball like a football, LOL.
