You know at first I was laughing at the guy & thought it was pretty pathetic that he wasted a week trying to make fire with sticks...
But then, I started really rooting for the guy: would he succeed? would this stop him from ever 'roughing it' in the wild? Could it actually be done? These questions needed answering, so I pressed on with the blog.
I thought for sure he was going to succeed on day five - he was so close! But alas, failure. I thought for sure he was going to quit. I mean, I know I would have. Who has the patience for that? After five days of trying to make fire out in the wild - I would've just lay down & accepted death. Maybe a bear would come & eat me or something.
Then I was completely thrown off by the pics he put up of the little pixie sitting on an apple or whatever that was. A ruse? yes. But it gave me the strength to see the blog through - I was filled with renewed vigor!
Then - just when all seemed lost - flame!!! But it went out. Again flame - but went out. Oh, the humanity! But perserverance pulled through in the long run, and I had seen this blog through. I had learned the lesson that was intended for me: if you're really willing to waste a bit of time spilling through someone else's blog, all you'll get for it is a sense of ... "WTF?"
Thanks for the link, my man!
