| I live in the bay. I like it. I don't know where you're coming from to really compare "how nice" really is. But if you're going to be near SF, there is a lot you can do. Even more if you have a car and don't mind traveling an hour or so.
There are a couple other bayareans on here too.

When I was there for the Xbox 360 Preview Event, I spent a little time down at the piers. There's some shopping and plenty o' restaurants, along with some smelly sea lions that make a lot of noise. You can also go to Alcatraz. And, of course, there's to Golden Gate Bridge. I liked seeing the way the fog funnels across all that. Neat stuff.
Speaking of the Bay, what's at the southeast corner of it? When we flew in, I could see what seemed to be different sections of water, but it was different colors (reddish, greenish, yellowish) like they were harvesting something. Any ideas?

| I think Pickle is up there and Rhino is in the bay area as well. One of the coolest things is that you can get virtually anywhere on the BART. | |

| Can't get to my house from BART, LOL. You can get to quite a bit of the bay though. It's still expanding, but very slowly. | |

| Yeah, but BART is a heck of alot better than anything we have down here in San Diego. Here the trains run "when they feel like it" they are closed on all holidays and the last run is usually at around 7 pm. LAAAAME! | |

| Yeah the Bay is Nice, But you got to watch out for the bad areas. Like if you go to San Fran watch out for filmore, Market (Clubs), Castro. If you go over to the bay bridge then your in oakland, stick to Jack london Square where Yoshi's jazz club is.
Other than that its Nice out here, As Zoom said the Piers is Great, Pier 39 where the Sea Lions Chill, AND watch out for the Bush Hobo. Say wasuuuh to him for me. (He is probably the Richest homeless guy ever. He is a legend here, he hides behind a bush around pier 39 and he pops out and scares people, Then they usually watch him scare others then give him money.)
Cool thing is he doesn't pop out if there is any old people or little kids. Go and eat some Clam Chowder in SF sourdough Bread.
And if you need Insurance stop by Burlingame and pay me a visit.

| btw where in the City is the party located, Can't say how nice the area is if we don't know the streets. I got advice though, dont keep nothing visible inside your car. WE got Homeless and some are Tweaked/cracked out so they might get tempted if temptation is there. | |

| Just don't go to the Richmond station if you can. When something bad happens to BART riders, that's the station where it usually happens. Oddly enough, it's the one I use all the time. It's next to a church and about two blocks from the Richmond police station. Of course, there are crappy apartments and liquir stores all around it, LOL.
I never used the "trains" when I lived in San Diego. None of the public transportation went that close to La Jolla to make it worth my while, so it was easier to drive.

And, DEFINITELY, get some clam chowder! Good stuff.
Oh, and check out that real curvy street. I think Lexus( or some other lux car mfgr) recently did a commercial on there with a bunch of artificial snow.

| Well I wouldn't go into Richmond, East Palo Alto, Oakland, Vallejo, San Leandro, Hayward, unless You got a specific Destination. Keep gas in your tanks at all times. Im not saying that these are bad places, Its just Trouble occurs often herel. | |

| That's exactly the problem here in San Diego. The trains don't get you anywhere you want to go so no one uses them. | |

There is a Gordon Biersch brewery and restraunt directly below the bay bridge that is a nice place to visit if your into beer. That is about as close as I get to the piers as well. Way to crowded.
Oh, Fort Point, below the Golden Gate bridge should be a must see. Not only is the fort an awesome historical relic, the views of the bay and city are great. Plus its free! Here is a website that expplains a bit about it- Link

| Thats Sad and Hilarious at the same time Zoom. Tell me the Bush Man doesn't do a great job. He is good at what he does and makes money. Plus He is loads of Laughs when HE scares unobservative people. He is a Famous Bum LMAO
Btw Twin Peaks is always great and if your into Brewery/REstraunts a great place called SteelHeads. WE dont drink, but Great eats. a lil Expensive but a nice sitting, They got big chairs that look like lazyboys. Great Brick oven pizzas, Burgers, sandwichs, and pastas.
Oh the Curvy st. is called Lombard st. Theres a Freakin line to go down that damn st. I've been down there so many times I think its useless but its a site that many like to come see I guess.

| Lombard st is overrated in my opinion. It's more fun to look at than ride/drive. The cable cars can be fun. You can park across street from the Metrion (the sony store), go to the cable car station about two blocks away and ride it to the end of the line, and you're about two blocks from the piers (tourist area). I think the Metrion may still have the Titanic Exhibit going too. | |
