New addition to the slew of toys :)

Well, I finally did it, after all the frustrations I went through a couple months back, things are stable enough that I was able to repurchase a Mac!! With the stability and also a surprising Christmas bonus, I decided it was time!

I know, I know... all you Mac Haters out there!

Anyway, it was in the budget originally (and in my mind) to get a refurbed 17" MacBook Pro once I got the chance and the funds to do so. Well the time has come and I thought, I wanted to just replace my slightly aged Desktop PC all together. Well, it didn't make too much sense to get a MacBook Pro anymore and for pretty much the same price I could get a better computer. So, ultimately I ordered the 24" iMac!

So I stuck with the 2.16GHz Core2Duo but upgraded the ram to 2GBs. Also upgraded the GPU from the 7300GT 128MB to the 7600GT 256MB.

Everything else is the original specs and I should be receiving that shortly here! Probably tomorrow!! Ultimately ends up being a little over 100 bucks more for a brand new 24" iMac as opposed to a refurbished 17" MacBook Pro.

Anyway, once it's received, I'll take pictures and post them up. I'll also take pictures of it right next to my "old" HP 21" widescreen monitor!

you can buy it from me. It's actually a very decent PC. The monitor I am using is actually very nice! 21" HP monitor.

Anyway, if you're serious.. we could probably work somethin' out! Let me know. I can sell the whole computer tower pretty cheap!

Congrats Jon, I knew you'd be back. It's next to impossible to taste the sweet sweet nectar of mac juice, drink from the near perfection that is Tiger, and frolic in the aqua waves that are collectively known as "a computer that just works" and not come back.

The iMacs are sweet, my sister-in-law has one and her and her roommate love it. Don't forget to load that frakker up with all the cool programs you tasted before too.

haha woundup. I guess as a professional PC builder, it's hard to like Macs because of their "lack of upgradability" but, hey, "It just works!"



Wonder, thanks mang! It feels good to almost have a Mac back in my house. I am definitely loading my system back up with all the goodies. I still have my delicious library code, Quicktime code, as well as Appzapper and Connect 360 codes.

I've found it so frustrating how many times my PC has asked me if I'm sure I want something installed, downloaded, moved, etc. If I do the action, I want to do it!!!

Ah well, soon enough, I'll have that thing set up! I guess I should've waited until Leopard came out, but I couldn't resist!!!
