While there some winners in there(TOOL!!!, The Mars Volta, Santeria, Mr. Crowley, Interpol, and of course Dream Theater), the list is pretty underwhelming compared to Rock Band 2. Granted, I haven't even heard of 10 or 12 of the bands on the list, but I'm an open minded listener(With that said, f*ck 30 Seconds to Mars).

In reality, I'm buying this primarily for the hardware. The drums are kickass, and the guitar looks awesome. Plus, Red Octane is just a better hardware company than Harmonix. Any one had their purchased made or broken because of this list?

I can't wait to try and duplicate Danny Carey's masterful drumming!!!! I also read that TOOL worked with developers on stage graphics for the TOOL sets on the game. That is quite the list of tracks. I was already planning on picking this one up, but now after seeing a "complete" track list I'm chompin at the bit. TOOL, The Doors, Beasties, Dinosaur Jr., CRAZY TRAIN!!!! There will be some major league ROCKIN' in the near future.

Anytime they put that many songs together, you are sure to get some crap. Can't please everyone. I'm leaning towards ROCK BAND2 because they supported the first one with DL content MUCH better than the GH people did.

Man I was really leaning toward RB2 but the idea of Maynard helping out with set design really makes me want to check out GH3 a little more seriously.
Do we know if the GH3 hardware will be compatable with RB2?

The [kickass] GH:WT drums and guitar are compatible with Rock Band 1+2.
