Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: St Louis Age: 30 | Being an ex gs employee I watched it everything was pretty much true but the guy tries WAY too hard to be like yahtzee and it get annoying after the first min. I didn't watch his other ones about the reserves and subscriptions but more than likely they are the same boring stuff. Anyway my gamestop I would say is quite a bit better. First we would test every system, Visually check the discs. (yes I did see a demo get sold only because the person bringing it in didn't know any better). And yes they do rape you on trade in BUT last time I checked gamestop is a business. And most businesses are there to make money. Especially ones that are publicly traded. It's like trading your car into the dealer. Sure you know your not going to get what its worth to sell to another person but (almost 100% of the time) they will take it and you TRADE it towards you new car. The main thing gamestop could have done better would be pay the employees more but they know they don't have to because there are 1000's of stupid kids that think it would be the most awesome job in the world. Only problem is that it is still a retail job. And as most people know retail sucks! It will be interesting to see what happens to gamestop in the next 10-20 years as more game systems goto a download style of selling games. It kinda screws up gamestops whole way of business. Which by the way they were interviewed on that subject and of course the guy said we aren't worried. If you do shop at gamestop and they piss you off and the manager won't do anything probably the best thing you can do to get back at them is reserve a game and wait till you get the customer survey and give them a bad review. That really pisses off the managers because then their regional gets yellrd at and then so on. O and you can go back in at anytime and cancel your reserve and get a full refund even if the game already came out.

Don't forget that they give 20% less if they want cash back so offer what gamestop offers instore credit just in cash. I think ps3 40 gigs are trading in for for 200 instore credit.

| That's how I got my Wii. Some guy was in there trying to sell it back, they offered him like $20 and I said I was interested. Rather than saying to take it out of the store, the assclown employee held onto the guy's system, made everyone in the store wait (I was actually there to buy another game), and then called 2 or 3 of his friends asking if they wanted a Wii. I wanted to bitch slap him. The guy ended up selling it to me, but not before the punk ass kid behind the counter wasted mine and everyone else's time that night trying to score a deal for his friends. Punk.
Of course, that doesn't have anything to do with Gamestop. My wife agreed that the dude's voice was annoying and was annoyed he didn't breath between his sentences. Then I reminded her that was the same thing those freaks in Gilmore Girls did for the entire show.

The Gamestop i go too knows me a little too well to pull that crap on me, should of told the seller to grab his Wii unit back from the Gamestop employee (thats what she said maybe...)
Was he the manager or what?
