Do you notice a difference though? I look at the Fiji Blue car but I see blue. I look at the rallye red car but I see red. Maybe I have bad vision, but the exclusive colors don't look too unique or distinct. But I still like blue more than red.

Really cuse the colors for cars are pretty much straight foreward no matter what awesome adjective they put in front of the color its really just a name for that mix of pigments for that company. If it is a stock color odds are they just name the color sweet names in order to maybe bring a bit more appeal to colors or cars.

I've never though of Zoom as stupid. I don't know him well. And besides, us grumpies have to stick together. When I say exclusive to the SI I just mean exclusive in terms of Civics. There are actually 2 other blues that regular civics come in, and this blue is very different, especially in person. I would even say the blue is pretty unique across most cars. Apparently owners of the Fiji Blue constantly ask if the color is custom. I like hearing that because I want to have something different, since you see civics everywhere.

I agree that the words are just different ways to say Bright Red or Dark Blue or Hot Pink, but that doesn't bother me. It's like nail polish

I don't know if red gets more speeding tickets, but I do know that my insurance would be higher with a red car... So that's another reason to go for the blue. Coincidentally, when I had a red Mitsubishi, I did get rear-ended twice in it.

Be sure to tell the blue dealership you can get the same car at another place for $600.00 dollars cheaper, especially if it's the internet peeps; they need them sales! We got my wife's car through an internet deal, and they were more than willing to meet our demands...er, expectations!

One thing working against you while bargaining is the popularity of the civic. My office just picked up a Honda plant in Anna Ohio and posted around the plant are the sales figures for the last several months. Civics are number 1. So in my experiance they have the "if you don't buy it, someone else will" attitude
