I need a little help with a router problem
Ok so I have a linksys WRT54GL with the Tomato 1.19 firmware. Somehow today I was about to post on PGL about something and the site wouldn't load. So I click refresh and nothing. Then I open another site with no problems. So now pgl is the only site that won't open for me. I am running Firefox 3 on XP.
I got on tonight to try to repost and still nothing. So I hopped on my neighbors wireless and the site loads fine. Then I direct connect to my modem and the site loads fine. So I try it on my mac running wireless through my router and nothing on either safari, firefox, or IE. Yes everything else loads except pgl.
So I have to come to the conclusion that it is my router somehow blocking the site. The only thing that I can think of that happened right when I was about to post was firefox asked me to update an ad-on but I cancelled it. But that still shouldn't have affected my router. I went into the admin options of the router firmware and I couldn't find anything wrong or out of place. I reinstalled firefox turned off all the add-ons and still nothing. I guess tomorrow I will put DDRT on the firmware and see if that fixes anything. If it does I'll just put tomato back on because I really like how it works. I tried to reload the Linksys firmware but it says it can't find my router. I looked through the set up disc and couldn't find the bin file for the firmware. Any ideas on what my problem could be?

It's a little bit difficult to find out exactly what could be causing it, but have you tried holding down the reset button the router? That might flash it away.

I just bought that router, but I don't surf through it. I have my first wired router for my PC, and the wireless router is daisy-chained off that one for my 360's wireless connection. (thanks, again, MadB)
For what it's worth, sometimes, this site just doesn't load up that well. Even after my HDD crash, I have issues loading it up.

I despise my linksys routers for this very reason. That, and Halo 3 NAT errors.

Well its official, PGL broke my router. So I tried the other firmware and still nothing. I managed to get the original linksys firmware back on and still nothing. I called linksys tech support and after 30 min of trial and error they finally said send it in. So right now instead of running modem/router/switch. I am running modem/SWITCH/router and I will be sending in my router to linksys because it won't load www.pregamelobby.com LOL. Good Times. O well atleast I have a spare that I can use till mine gets back.

I find it odd just being just PGL and thus being the router. Although, it does sound like it's in the router, I'm guessing it's probably a firewall or IP blocking issue.
If your router has some logs, you may want to review or see if somehow you accidentally got the IP/site on a block list. I know my firewall lets me block specific IPs.

I reset the router to default settings checked the blocked lists and even tried it in DMZ and still wouldn't work. So who knows what the hell I did.

it sounds to me, that either its in the firewall or in your NAT go to your 360 tonight and go to the system blade run the network connection test and see if it says your NAT is restricted or strict. And we will go from there!

I would agree with you that its prob firefox but I have the same prob with IE and FF3 on this computer. Same probs with my macbook (wired or wireless) that runs safari and FF3 on mac plus xp on my mac which has FF3 and IE. I also have the same prob with the computer that is out in the kitchen running xp and IE and FF2. All is fixed as soon as I take the router out of the equation. Or on my macbook when I connect to my neighbors wifi.(just to check connection of course)

make sure you're not double NATing somewhere. I'm not the most familiar how switches are setup, but if make sure it's not doing any NATing, and if you need to assign an IP, make sure it's outside the routers DHCP range. Only one device should be assigning IPs, and routing.
Personally, I don't think that's the problem, but double NATing can do some quirky errors to your LAN.
