Jokes. Excellent thread Pickle. I need to get back to giving blood. That ish is important. This is pretty small, but lately I've been letting anyone get over or pull out of a parking lot/driveway. They get super hyped because they don't have to sit there for 10 minutes. Quo and Wonder have seen my road rage, so I'm trying to go the extreme opposite.

In H.S. we had community outreach stuff we had to do, and one of the events was to take kids from an inner city school to the zoo. We were each paired up with one kid. At the end of it, we were dropping them off and my "little buddy" hugged me and said "I love you" and kissed me on the cheek. I'll remember that forever. Hopefully that day had a positive impact on him as well.

My Mean streak was over when i went outside to go get the mail. I noticed the mail box next to me was wide open with mail still inside, I calmly closed it and walked away.

I was walking one of my dogs this afternoon and stopped to help one of my neighbors unload a large bookcase off of the back of his truck. This freaking thing was at least 400lbs, so he and his brother were happy to have the extra hand.

Outside of work I'm always trying for my "boy scout deed" for the day. Lately I've been driving back and forth between Seattle and Ephrata, a small town about 2 1/2 hours one way, to make sure my dad can get to his hospital visits at the University of Washington since he doesn't drive anymore. The gas prices are killing me, thankfully he's a vet and the military helps out a little with travel expenses. That's about it for now.

It's not big deal but I do nice little things to my family and friends when they need something or ask a favor.It makes me happy when I know I make other people smile.

I need the help of you nice-doers! We have this local auto shop that opened about a year or so ago. They give a 10% discount to people who live in our little town, have great prices on top of that, and are totally honest about everything. I'm getting my front brakes replaced, back brakes repaired a new sway bar and an oil change for like $350-ish including labor. It's absurd. I want to throw extra money over the counter and run out.

Any suggestions on what to do that would be a nice gift or something? They have all sorts of Cincy Reds stuff in the shop, so maybe I'll get them vouchers for games, so they can pick when to go. Any other suggestions? They are really nice guys, and an honest mechanic is a diamond in the rough for sure!

Bring them Lunch or Donuts sometimes, chocolates for ladies, Donuts for guys. Beer is also good sometimes...but some people dont drink.
