When I look back on it I think the one reason I'm so hooked on games is probably my dad. We used to go down to the local arcade when I was a kid and he'd rock some old school Galaga. It was a pretty good way to connect with my dad at the time.
My kids and I will hit the Rock Band/Guitar Hero once in a while, but they get bored with it pretty quick. I tried to do the pokemon thing with my 8 year old but I just can't get into it for long. It's his B-day at the end of the month and we've already picked him up a red DS but will probably be getting a Wii for the family as well.
Any suggestions or thoughts on games, (kid friendly), would be nice. Thanks.

I'd also try Marvel:Ultimate Alliance. Good fun co-op.

| Prophet I play mario cart for the Wii with my niece who is 5 and she loves it. We also play the bumper cars game from burger king. She is only 5 but with me playing with her she is getting much better and even more into some other games now, hell we were in bestbuy yesterday and she asked for her own pink 360 controller, it was the best day of my life. | |

| My 12 year old and I love the party style games and we've been known to crash it up in Burnout. Don't tell anyone but she makes me play Sonic on the 360 as well. In the end someone already said it but Mario Kart is the king. | | |

Of course, I don't have an issue with him playing these; you might.

| King - let me know how Boom Blocks is. My 6 (7 next month) year old apparently told my wife he wanted me to pick it up. I haven't even heard anything about it yet. Man am I out of the loop! | |
