I game on my 51" Sony rear-projection CRT. Looking to upgrade in the next year or two maybe.

| depends on where I feel like gaming. Sometimes in my office on my 21 inch Dell HD LCD, other times on my 48 inch Mitsubishi rear projection CRT calibrated by Craig Rounds and other times on my 65 inch Hitachi rear projection CRT also calibrated. Just depends on my mood, what game I am playing, and what my fiancee is doing at the time I am gaming. | |

| Also depends with me on what I feel like. Most of the time it's on my 92" screen. Other times it's on my 22" screen. | |

| I have the chance to get a 63 or 65 inch plasma from Sears this weekend for about 1800. I have read horror stories on game systems burning in on plasmas... is this true or is there a better tv type for gaming? I dont want to drop alot to have it burn out in 2 years | |

| Plasma's are prone to burn in. I do believe they have gotten a bit better but I personally would not buy one to use for gaming. But then again that's just my opinion. That is a great price for that size of a plasma though, what brand is it? | |

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Omaha | Cujo...plasma would not be my first choice for a tv, gaming or otherwise. I honestly think that lcds and dlps look better. Just my opinion though.
I would like to replace my tv with a large dlp in the future. I have heard that burn in is pretty much non-existent on those sets, and the technology keeps getting better.
That being said, rear-proj crt sets are supposed to be somewhat susceptible to burn-in, but I've had mine for 3 years now, and I've played Halo 2 for two years on it, and haven't noticed a bit of burn-in.

| Well thanks for the advice, I think I will let it pass then, I dont want to junk that much money in a few years, especially with my second baby on the way in Feb. I BELIEVE the brand was a Mitsubishi, I have yet to see it, but my friend was telling me where to get it. I have been comparing LCD's and DLPs, they seem pretty similar. I just want a decent large screen that will compliment my 360. | |
