Even though I have excessive debt, I do have pretty nice credit score, <shrug>

last car I bought {about 2 years ago} It was 700 and something but sence then I've decided to use a credit card to buy a lot of my buisness needs {lumber plywood chemical coatings ect} so for the last year I've spent and payed off 6 to 7k a month on a credit card so hopefully mines gone up. I dont think you really get any better rates from 700 on up anyway.

I created a sweet spreadsheet using excel to help me keep track of how much equity I have in my home after each payment is made. It's a SLOOOOW process gaining equity. Interest eats up damn near 90% of every payment we make right now. It's quite discouraging.

yeah the first 10 years is mostly intrest. Sucks dont it!

I think the average APR on credit cards is around 12% if your credit is decent.
My capitol one card is 6% with no fees but I think thats because I got it lowered when I was activated in the Army after 9/11 and they just forgot to put it back to what it was before. My credit is average (good) but not good enough for a 6% interest rate.
