| Should it stay or should it go? So, my RRoD repair came back today and now I'm trying to decide what to do with it.
In it's absence I picked up an Elite.
Initially I was going to put it in the family room so that I could use for some syslink gaming on the rare occasions that someone was over - but then, duh, I realized I'd have to have 2 versions / discs of whatever game I wanted to play.
Then I thought, OK, I'll just keep it - use if for 'single player' - and use it whenever I don't want to fire up the pj. But, don't you then have to recover your gamertag all the time?? Plus, all my game saves would get screwy. I suppose I could swap the drive, but I'm not sure how much stuff gets tied to the console it was on originally - not too mention that might be a pain in the azz always swapping the drive.
As I'm typing this, I'm talking myself more and more into just Craigslisting it. Anyone know what the going rate is these days for a used Premium? It still has about 9 months of extended warranty, plus 3 yrs for RRoD.
What about GameStop - any idea how much they're giving for used systems these days?
I kept (and still have) my OG xbox - but I don't think I've turned that thing on more than twice in the last 2 years or so. |
