Well - I wanted to get an Elite, but not this soon... especially w/ the Blu Ray rumors out there.


Can someone give me the quick tip info on how to spot the right Elites to get - ya know falcon chip or it is that's supposed to be better. I'm too pissed to search and I'm hoping I can get one from CC or Best Buy before they close tonight.

Looks like I'm on "limp" mode for now after unplugging and re-plugging everything (again)...

Found that if you look for 175W power supply that it should be Falcon. Also see that the Premiums now come w/ HDMI - but still only 20GB (don't think the new 60's are out yet).

Think I'll give Gamestop a call tomorrow and see what the current trade-in price is.

if you really want to wait to see what M$ official does with the blue ray, I would suggest to get the coffin box. You'll get a refurb box in about 30 days (they'll give a 30 day XBL card while you're box is healing).

I know it sucks, but it'll give you time for some Wii action.

Just look at the sticker on the back/bottom of the 360 box. It'll say what wattage the power supply is, you'll need a 175w. Sorry to hear about your loss bro, what # are you on?

This was #2. Started w/ a launch day 360 - that one lasted less than a year - died sometime in 2006, and now this one - seems to have gone just over a year.

I think I'm gonna go the extreme and pick up an Elite. I'd like to have the HDMI and larger drive, but I was really hoping I could hold out till the BluRay stuff was finalized.

Funny thing is, if it was working fine I may not even touch it for 3 weeks - BUT - knowing that I don't have it - and can't use it - that'll drive me crazy so I'll have to run out and get the replacement!! lol Then hope to sell the one that comes back.
