You should also purchase the Bluetooth Headset, crystal skin (for the faceplate), and the V-Moda Vibe Duo w/ Playback ear buds (from V-Moda...thanks WonderfulMonkey...god that was gay robot of me). A Vitamix 5000 is also something that you should consider.
No issues with Windows. In fact iTunes seems to be quicker and more efficient than Zune on my machine.
I did have a problem initially setting up my phone, but after that it has been fairly seamless.
There are issues with Outlook that I had to figure out in order to get my calendar to sync.
The main problems I had to figure out were based on migrating my contacts from the Palm platform to the iPhone. Which was easily solved by emailing all 600 of them to myself in .vcf format and importing.
The other problem has been my music library. A lot of my music was downloaded from Zune in WMA format. I would suggest converting all WMA files to MP3 using Tunebite before importing into your iTunes library.
I am sure that I will think of other issues or areas of discussion.
In a nutshell the iPhone isn't as flexible as a smartphone per se. However, what it does do it does a heck of a lot better. I now pay more $ a month for less minutes, but I also use the internet, and email features on my phone considerably more.
Back to your original question. I can't believe that Monkey and Danger haven't converted you by now so I am assuming that their Macentric lifestyles prevented them from infiltrating this final chink in your armor.
I haven't had a single integration issue that I can think of I sync it to Vista at home and XP sp3 at work. However, I must admit, that I have been seriously considering picking up a used iBook on Craigslist based on my experiences with the iPhone.
I had way more issues with my Palm desktop and hotsyncing than I do with iTunes. I also wanted to throw my palm at the nearest wall on a regular basis. While I often find myself fondling crooning sweet nothings to my iPhone on a regular basis, mostly glitch free so far...crap did I just jinx myself?

That said, he will find a way to make it work. There's a hack for everything. I say go for it! | |

Yes, it is compatible and Rhino summed it up nicely. The only things keeping me away from an iPhone at this time are:
1. AT&T
2. Can't edit Word docs
Other than that, the phone itself is P.I.M.P. I would love on it all day. | |

PC Users unite!! So what if MAC's can remain virus free and don't need to do the daily "windows update" that bogs up the PC while it's updating. Oh yeah and don't forget that the Vista look is basically a rip off of OS10, other than that PC's rule!!
Actually, both my laptop and home computers are PC's, but i thought i should rip on em anyways!
