Yeah I never intended to be on that late last night... I had just finished a game of madden (re-acquainting myself with the controls!) and was waiting on the wife to finish something up so I kicked on Zuma thinking that would occupy 10 or 15 minutes. Grits is online. Crank wants to play. I'm effective playing with half my screen. I blunder my way through 9-4. My wife has finished and is now watching. "They're gonna get me killed," I say. She says, "Tell them it's me playing." Then I get a message from Keezy:

You know you'll never make Level 10 anyway. I love you and I'm wearing the orange pumps.

Ok, I added that last part.

At that point, the wife says, "well, now they know it's not me. (Zuma stresses her out. She gives up about level 4 or 5.) There's no way I'd be at level 9. I guess go ahead and play with them. I'll wait till 10:30..." (it was about 10:15). So it was dangerous... Quo played till 10:45. But it all worked out... Quo's a happy man.

That game mode was definitely fun. Thanks guys, for the games! and thanks to Wonder for his patience. He's my online manual. I was asking how to do everything, I remembered nothing. I killed myself with a grenade . But I got in a few kills. I think I've coined a new phrase too...

qupwned ("kwo-n'd"): to get pwned by someone who obviously has no idea what they're doing.

As in: "I got qupwned by Quo when he aethered himeslf and I was standing nearby." or "Keezy was qupwned by an uknown assailant who ran around the corner standing straight up, tried to tag him with a smoke grenade but pressed the wrong button and then took 6 shotgun blasts at close range to finish him off."

I am dying to try this new mode. I have a mid-term on Thursday, then on Friday morning I start a three day backpacking adventure in Pt. Reyes, CA.

So hopefully I can find a few minutes between studying to give the new mode a try.

A little off-topic, I just added up all my ranked executions, and it amounted to more than 100. I think the official count was like 103 and I didn't get the achievement.

Kind of weird....

No, Annex does NOT count towards kills, even in Ranked games.

That is effing bull. Yes it was counting Annex. Fortunately it's only about 15 executions or so...

Not counting Annex sucks. Having respawns would make getting achievements waaay easier. All of my love for Epic is going out of the window, even my UT and UT2k3 days won't bring it back.

Yeah, why would they exclude one of their gametypes from the achievements? Simply because it's easier? It would make more sense, especially for those who want to get the "Seriously..." achievement.

Has anyone else noticed this little 'ooops' since the update:




Notice the text label for the buttons. 'Initial Label Text'. Nice. This will only show like this when you pause in-game and go into the options for the 360 controller, then press 'Y' for the diagram. If you check this at the main menu it will be correct and function properly. Not the case when in game.
