Stuck fighting that big guy on the train

Hey all. I am stuck fighting that big dude with the birds flying around him. Is there more to just shooting him a bunch?

What difficulty?

I beat him alone on Hardcore, and it was a test.

On Insane, I'm not sure if it's posisble by yourself. Dom AI isn't the swiftest of fighters. If it's Insane I'd recommend a buddy.

You have to take his Krull shield down before you can inflict any damage on him. Grenades will scatter them, Torque Bow will scatter them, and he will send them after you at points. When he's shieldless just unload on him with whatever you have, headshot snipers with the active reload extra damage seems to work the best.

Also, if you get rid of the Reavers your copter will shine a light on him to scatter the krull too.

Keep the torque bow and grab the sniper as you go through the train. Stick him with torque rounds when the Kryll(birds) are off of him, the kryll won't light on him for a while afterwards. If you run out of bow rounds, snipe him in the face until he goes down.

Hint* Frags make the kryll scatter

Hint* Grenade tagging can be effective, just make sure you can get away

Hint* How much you need to shoot him is directly related to what difficultly you are playing on.

Hint* Beating him on co-op is easy.

I was actually stuck just before that point until Woundup played coop with me last night. With his help I finished the game on hardcore last night. Thanks woundup!

Thanks for the tips. I think I am beyond the torque bow at this point. I have four grenades, plus the sniper beyond my normal gun. I'll give the tips above a try tonight and see if I can't kill this guy.

Oh, this is the closest to finishing ANY game on ANY xbox for me. I was close on COD2, but then my hard drive died, and I never went back.

I think there is a torque bow on the otherside of the train car where you re-spawn. You should definitly pick it up, and try to hit all your active reloads.

Haha!! I've finished games, just not gotten the 1000 points for them. I finished Condemned, COD2, Kameo, PDZ, Full Auto (I think), GRAW and GOW. I'm holding off on Saints Row b/c I wanted to do the rest of the stuff, but perhaps I'll just finish that one as well. I finish games, I'm just not a gamerscore whore!!

On a personal note, Im beating it on Insane alone, no Co-op. Its a challenge Ive given myself and I aim to complete it! Raam might take 200 tries but gosh darn it I'll slay that effer!

After I'm done I need to play thru with someone, I need to play as Dom to get points

Taz and I need to go back through on insane. I was disappointed with how easy it was to beat the final character on normal difficulty. I think we had a tougher time with the spider.

use your command to tell Dom to stay back instead of attacking. Thats what I did the first time I beat the game by myself. I'll tell you what though after beating the game on insane with a partner I went back and beat Raam the first time by myself on casual with ease. Its amazing the difference of difficulty. Casual is a joke after you've done insane.

I remember reading that on hardcore, it takes 6 prefect reloaded headshots with the sniper and two clean torque bow shots / granades to kill him. So on insane I would say even more. What you can do is do the restart the level, instead of continue. You will have the torque bow with 6 shots, 300 rounds of ammo and a 2 granades. Then just max up.

I'm not good enough with the sniper to beat him. I would be glad to help you, I'm pretty good with the torque bow.

It took about 20 bow shots between me and Propain to kill him on insane. Not too difficult, the bow keeps the Kryll off of him most of the fight.

Peench jumped on and in one try Raam was dead. I was laying there bleeding when Peench shot and killed him, causing him to fall on me. All I remember was there was lots of blood!
