Gears of War 2 Midnight Release

Buy this time next month a bunch of us will be playing GOW2.I just wanted to check and see who will be getting it on its midnight release.At first I was not going to do this,then after careful thought,I realized I day dream more about this game then What it would be like to be Ron Jeremy's penis

Has there been info on the story (hopefully improving) or on the co-op AI? A mediocre story and nobody to play co-op with when I played the campaign are what killed this game for me. Dom was the worst side-kick AI I have every played with. I really, really hope that's been improved.

Looks like it comes out Friday the 7th. If that is right. I'll get it at midnight. It's already paid off. Limited edition with the golden gun. BUT........I like to play through the single player before I go into the multiplayer, so I may not appear online until the next evening.

LMFAO. That Ron Jeremy pic is priceless. I'm taking off that Friday and maybe even that Monday if I'm caught up on work. Hell yeah I'm going at midnight, I don't think I would sleep that night even if I didn't plan on going at midnight, just knowing somewhere, GOW2 was being released on the world.
On another note, thanks for the games last night. I see why your rooms are filled and stay filled, had a blast, hope to see y'all around.

I may be out of town that weekend, which would totally stink... especially where I have to go...

but if I'm in town, I'll probably get it launch night (which will be a Thursday night) and I'd be willing to take Friday off and do the 4-player co-op campaign with my Goo-mates or other willing parties.

Lot of if's in this... if I'm in town, if there's 4-player co-op, if people are willing to do the all nighter...

I was toying with the idea of a PGL event that night... see who can get through the campaign in 4-player co-op first on the toughest difficulty. Has to be a full four-player team of all PGLers? First to post a screen cap or picture of the credits or something like that here at PGL wins the prize?

thoughts? Is there enough interest?

Was kinda thinking the same thing for Left 4 Dead.

GOW2 is only 2 player co-op sorry to say quo, but there is the horde mode which is 5 players against wave after wave of increasingly difficult Locust. Goes to wave 50 and best reached was wave 28, so we can do that.

That is a smokin idea Quo. We could easily do that for the Horde mode. That way people won't blow through the story and miss out on the sexy goodness.

Lameness. I didn't know if that was confirmed yet. Cliffy loves to keep something in the bag and make you wonder about it, and there was hinting and speculation on the 4-player co op.

Yeah, we can do the same thing with Horde mode. Form up teams, and the highest level gets the prize, captured by video, screencap or screen picture with a camera for simplicity. Instead of an all-nighter, we'll do it so it envelopes FNFF the next day and call the contest over on Saturday night. That way there's time to goof off in campaign, standard multiplayer and horde on release weekend. I'll set it up and announce it after we've figured out a prize. Maybe we can get Pickle to work up a set of glass Cog rings. ( that sounds so wrong...)

We'll save the full campaign thing for the madness that is L4D.
