| Official Gears of War thread I just preordered the regular version of GOW. But I'm also not sure what is in the limited edition. Does anyone know? Will the limited edition be worth it to get? | |

Quote: | This limited edition offers an even deeper look into the world of “Gears of War,” providing an official “Destroyed Beauty” art book and a bonus DVD featuring an inside look at the making of the game — all enclosed in a highly collectible metal box. | I'd buy it just for the metal case
This is a no brainer for an Epic/Unreal/Gears freak like myself! It will go nicely with the sexy faceplate my loving brother Crip sent me.
Thanks for making this. I requested to the Staff that they make this a sticky.

| I'm glad I ordered the regular version. The one thing I didn't like about the Perfect Dark Zero limited edition was the metal case. It just doesn't match the rest of the green cases. Not to mention it's heavy. I dropped it on my foot once and it actually hurt a little since it hit on the edge. I don't have that problem with the plastic cases.
Hopefully Amazon doesn't screw me with this preorder. I paid the extra $4 for overnight shipping instead of 2 day. They screwed me on my Live Vision preorder and pushe dme into the queue for delivery in October so I cancelled it.

And yes, there will be shortages, and even if there isn't, most major retailers like EB and Gamestop won't even sell it to you launch week unless you preorder it, regardless of how many unbought copies they are sitting on.

I'm lucky I guess. | I've never seen BB or CC do it, but then they don't usually get games on release day anyway. I'm sure it does have a lot to do on region, although the past couple of times I've been in there when people didn't preorder, it sounded like it was store policy to them.

| I had a preorder for something a while back (months ago) that I didn't end up getting so I switched my money over to Gears. At the time they didn't have a LE or regular option so I dunno what my preorder will be. Either one is fine by me. | |
