Thanks, Gear Heads!
It was fun playing withyou guys last night (even if I got my ass handed to me constantly). It's been a while since I've been able to scratch together a full room of guys playing just for the hell of it. I made some space on my FL this morning to add some of you guys (I'm also pending on the "A PGL FRIEND" list (who's in charge of that thing?).
Hit me up any time.

Alrighty, now that I've played with you guys for a week, I've got to know a few things. I bitched about them briefly last night (man I was frustrated. You guys are usually out of my league and that leads to WILTRON's frustrated silence (pat pending)). That's beside the point though:
1. Why do we play on the same 5 maps all night? Granted, some are better than others, but it doesn't hurt to mix it up now and then.
2. Why do we give host to the best players in the lobby (*looks at Prophetone*)? It doesn't take a FIOS connection to host a gears match.
Everyone knows host advantage is a problem. The best way the make it a non-issue is to give it to the worst guy in the room. That way, the good players still kick ass and the host gets a couple of extra kills without it being too lopsided. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to get host every time we play, it just makes sense to give it to a guy who is less likely to be able to use it to his advantage.
3. Would you guys be willing to give Annex another shot? I didn't like it at first either, but it's another way to mix it up and keep everyone involved (respawns) rather than watching from the afterlife 50% of the time.
At this point, you're probably ready to do this to me:
... but finally, let me say that I'm glad I hooked up with you guys. You're fun to be around, don't take the game too seriously and can take a joke without being a tool. You don't find that very often in the gears playlists. Thanks for having me.

1. I've wondered that too. We used to play all of them, but it seems like the rotation is screwed up or something.
2. Good idea. Giving Prophet any advantage is a bad idea.
3. I love Annex! Pickle was a nay-sayer though, he's a respawn hater. Good luck getting him to change his routine

Wiltron, it was fun gaming with you last night for a few rounds. I really sucked it up last night but did a little bit of something sort of towards then end. Hope to catch up with you soon.
Glad you enjoy gaming with with some laid back people, that is what PGL is all about!

Good to see you got in there, Supafreak. I needed someone to keep me company in the dead cam.
In Prophet's defense, I know that he tries not to use hosty weapons alot of the time because it's too easy for him. But I guess that's my point isn't it?
When I get back from vacation next weekend, I'll be looking to start an Annex lobby ... with (almost) all the maps in the rotation.

WIL, don't worry but here is some critique....
1: The map thing is a little confusing. I have all maps enabled except 3, one being Tyro Station because I hates it, but I'll throw it back in for you WIL. Another is Raven Down because it sucks. I really should put some of the later maps at the top of the list just to give them some play time. We never seem to make it to the last few.
2: Gladly will I give up hosting. Personaly I hate it. Although I was hosting last night and was getting my ass handed to me pretty good. I've been hosting lately because of my connection, (and because Pickle was MIA for a while), but if you think it doesn't matter more power to you. Who do you guys think the worst player is? I guess we should make them the host.
3: No. Some of these guys might try Annex, but I think it's a big campers wet dream. I'm just not into it, sorry.
And ya', glad you made it over man. Always nice playing with like minded folk.

1. It must be that we never make it into the latter part of the rotation? But that's confusing because we play for 3 hours or more at a stretch. Off the top of my head, I don't remember playing Raven down / Escalation / Rooftops / Tyro / Process / Bullet Marsh / Mausoleum (once maybe). Looking at the list of missing maps, I don't like some of them anyway, I guess. Though I think Tyro is actually one of the best and Process is fun.
2. I'll raise my hand as one of the weaker players in the group, but I'm not going to point the finger at anyone else
3. Maybe I don't know the group well enough, but it seems not many play the camping style. C'mon Prophet / Picklel, it won't hurt to try it once or twice. Played with standard weapon sets or even weaker than standard (fewer power weapons) it plays a bit differently (lots of cover and Lancer crossfire).
