Definitely looks awesome.
The fanboys hammering the vids, saying things like, "doesn't look all that different" are hilarious. The real point for me is just that there's MORE. GoW was good enough in the campaign that even if they did very little to upgrade it would still be fun to play through another campaign. That said, I would dig some 4-player co-op.  On top of all that, though, I like that they appear to have brightened the color palette a bit. GoW1 was pretty gray throughout. |

Yeah, it looks like they added some more color, instead of that gray color palette from the first one. I would agree that it doesn't look all that much better, graphically, than the first one. But the first one still looks kick-ass, and Gears 2 has better lighting and shadow detail. I'll agree with Quo, too, in that it has more stuff going on.
I just hope it's not a disappointment like the first one. The campaign was pretty good, but no real reason to play through more than a couple of times. I did not like the multiplayer, but what else is new? I'd take GTA IV over Gears of War any day of the week, Pickle. 
I could go the rest of my life without seeing Cliff speak. What a tool.

I think the chainsaw's here to stay...
In the pop-up video version of the vid, though, they imply that the curbstomp is gone. I doubt it really is, though. I bet it's a contextual thing, or they were just teaching you how to pick up a dude to use as cover.
