GOW game saves

Does anyone know how to have multiple saves? I want to have a single player campaign save and a co-op save. When I try and start a new co-op game it says I will loose all previous campaign progress. WHAT! Only 1 save? Why don't they let you save your progress and give it a name,date,and time like many other titles. I hope I'm missing something.

I think you have to save on one game - kind of like Dead Rising. That seems to be my experience with it.

yep, no multiple saves...

They somewhat make up for it by allowing you to choose the last section of the act you were in, if you go that route. So you don't have to start over entirely which would DEFINITELY suck!

One save doesn't matter. With Dead Rising it sucked because of the lack of checkpoints. GoW has plenty of em'.

It does matter if you want to start multiple co-op games with different friends!

True. I haven't been able to get my last 2 cog-tags because I'm at the last checkpoint of Act 4 on insane with Pro and he hasn't been on lately. I didn't play co-op much when I posted that, now I wish that there was multiple saves

Yeah, it does matter but I figured that I was so used to the save system from Halo and Halo 2, COD2, etc. I don't really miss it, I mean, you can go back to each Chapter start in Gears of War pretty easily, the only thing you miss is the checkpoints in-between. What I do is always stop at a Chapter start, that way I can leave it and start a new co-op game. When it's time to go back, I just go back into that chapter.

And for the record, Dead Rising's save feature blew because you could too easily save a mistake in your game with absolutely no way of going back, a feature ridiculously outdated for a game of that caliber. You can't do that with Gears.

No biggie man CoD3 has kept my attention for now. I might go ahead and finish Act 4, I think I can just load the last chapter in act 4 and we can complete that and get the insane achievements.

I made it to chapter 4 last night on insane. I have to say that the Crab/Spider was much easier to kill this time around. It only took 3 trys to beat him, I didn't even have to kill one wrath to do it. On to level 4...
