SEGA ANNOUNCES VINTAGE GAME COLLECTION™
FOR XBOX LIVE ARCADE
HD-Enhanced Versions of the Original Sonic The Hedgehog and Golden Axe are Available Now for Download on Xbox LIVE Arcade
SAN FRANCISCO & LONDON (July 11, 2007) – SEGAŽ of America, Inc. and SEGAŽ Europe, Ltd. today announced the SEGA Vintage Collection™, a new product line that includes enhanced versions of five SEGA classics which will be available for download on Xbox LIVEŽ Arcade for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. SEGA Vintage Collection kicks off today with the launch of Sonic The Hedgehog and an enhanced version of the arcade classic Golden Axe. Three other titles from SEGA’s Genesis™ library will be ready for download shortly thereafter: Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin, and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
Revamped with enhanced graphics, each SEGA Vintage Collection title will feature their own list of achievements points and online leaderboards. Streets of Rage 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and Golden Axe will come complete with online multi-player modes that enable gamers to play with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Prices start at 400 Microsoft Points™ for each SEGA Vintage Collection title. Microsoft Points can be purchased online or at select retailers at an MSRP of $5 for 400 points.

Sonic The Hedgehog – Take Sonic, the fastest blue hedgehog on earth, through hair-raising loop-de-loops and dizzying dives past bubbling lava, waterfalls and on as you gather up Rings and stop Dr. Eggman (AKA Dr. Robotnik) schemes for world domination!
Ecco the Dolphin - Help Ecco the Dolphin find his missing friends by exploring his vast ocean world. You must surface for air and keep an eye out for enemies as you search the depths. Ecco's unique sonar ability will give you helpful information from other sea creatures.
Streets of Rage 2 - To celebrate their defeat of the syndicate exactly one year before, Blaze, Adam and Axel met for drinks. The next morning, Axel received a frantic phone call from Eddie 'Skate' Hunter, Adam's younger brother, whom he was living with on the edge of the city. Blaze and Axel found Adam and Skate's house wrecked and a picture of Adam chained to a wall at the feet of Mr. X. The city then once again returned to its nightmarish state and criminals ran rampant. Unable to contact their old friend from the military, Axel and Blaze team up with Skate and Max Thunder to free the city and rescue Adam from the Syndicate. It is up to you to take down Mr. X once and for all!
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 – Dr. Eggman (AKA Dr. Robotnik) begins his zealous search for the Chaos Emeralds to fuel his new "Death Egg" contraption. One afternoon, he launches his full-scale attack on the island. Dr. Eggman imprisons all of the helpless animals of the island and turns them into mindless worker drones. Fortunately, Sonic will thwart the Doctor's plans at all costs. This time, he isn't alone, as Tails decides to aid him in the battle. Together they must locate the Chaos Emeralds before Dr. Eggman does, and put an end to this diabolical scheme.
Golden Axe - Three mighty heroes have a score to settle with the evil Death Adder in this classic action game. As a powerful fighter, a female amazon, or a mighty dwarf, you’ll fight through Adder’s henchmen with weapons and magic attacks or ride the fearsome, fire-breathing beasts to help in you combat.
