First Speakers Announced for GCDC 2007
International Game Industry Visionaries to Speak at the Leading European Developers Conference
Leipzig, Germany - June 18, 2007 - The GC Developers Conference (GCDC) today announced the first speakers for this year's program, with Julian Eggebrecht of Factor 5 confirmed as the opening keynote. GCDC is Europe's most important platform for developers and takes place at the Leipziger Messe August 20-22, 2007.
Julian Eggebrecht (USA), Factor 5's president and lead director/producer, made his last appearance as a speaker at GCDC in 2005. Currently, Julian is working on several next-generation titles, including the PlayStation 3 exclusive Lair. His work includes the Turrican line of games and the multi-million selling Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series.
At least year's GCDC, Peter Molyneux (United Kingdom), President Lionhead studios, gave exciting insights into the developing process of next-gen-games. This year he has planned to give a retrospective on the classical games from Lionhead Studios.
