Crash, there's still a few of us with GRAW & I'm always down for doing some coop. I still need a few other ach's in GRAW as well. DA may need some GRAW2 coop ach's too.
Yeah, the last couple of Sundays we've pretty much done just vs. games, Twilight. The last three ach's I need are all vs. ones, anyway so I'm right there with wanting to do some vs.

I still don't know if I agree with that parimeter philosophy, anyway... I mean, if I can't take a step outside of my spawn because I know there's someone right there that's gonna take a shot at me, I'm gonna end up being forced to shoot from my spawn area, aint I?
Like I said, the 'meet in the middle' idea has always worked out well & we've pretty much done it like that since this began - with the exceptions of some maps which it's just impossible or impractible, then there's the occasional time it's just being a smartass.
The point is, we play this for fun every Sunday, & if anyone wants to suddenly start using the tactics/strategies the general public uses, then it pretty much defeats the purpose, doesn't it? | killing you is fun , but i kinda feel meeting in the middle in a ghost recon game kinda defeats the purpose of a tactical shooter . If one team takes the middle in the begining, kills the other team, and then the team who took the middle has to hold fire so the other team can simply stroll back to the middle of the map kinda defeats the purpose. Cause I have a feeling that if team 1 has control of the middle and shoots team 2 when they are charging it someone is going to cry spawn kill. The unfortunate side of this is there is a fine line of between spawn killing / spawn perimeter. I have played numerous matches on graw 1 that i could not even be given the chance to pick a gun, that is spawn killing @ its finest , a spawn perimeter on the other hand means that your are still a good distance from the enemy spawn but shooters have eyes on all exits, but the enemy if (he/she) is a good shot than they have a pretty good chance to fight back. Another thing to i would like to discuss is a flank if team 2 is camping on the left side of the map and team 1 goes to the right map and flank them in the back that is not spawn camping either, and my final thing to throw on the table is that if you are playing as a marksman and you are sniping from your spawn and some comes up in there to kill you that also is not a spawn kill. I am going to watch where i go this sunday and try to stay as far back as possiable. I dont mean to sound mean if I am coming off mean, im just trying to voice me opinion about da situation.
theres my 2 cents
group hug
see ya sunday
P.S. Shadowrun isnt gay, Halo is :P

Don't get me wrong, either - I'm not yelling fowl or anything but last Sunday I personally witnessed people (who shall go unnamed) in my spawn area, who killed me when I spawned, and then when I spawned again - killed me again (as in they weren't just "moving through" but never left that area). I was also not the only one that this happened to, going off of what others were saying. Not to mention those who know full well where the spawn areas are & run up to them to get a kill. I'll try to give my thoughts on some of the things you mentioned: Quote:

If a team is holding the middle of a map, they are still holding a perimeter on that area. Besides, the other team still has to be able to get into position without getting it's tail shot off, right? Knowing you & your team must move to a point to engage is better than knowing you'll be engaged right from your own spawn. Quote:

The unfortunate side of this is there is a fine line of between spawn killing / spawn perimeter. | If team one has control of the center, team two has to engage to take control while also being engaged itself. There's a big difference between engaging/being engaged right from your spawn point, as it gives the team virtually no ability to create an offensive or defensive strategy - it's basically just about trying to run the gambit to get out of your spawn area. If even you admit there's a fine line between spawn camping and a spawn perimeter, then you can surely understand how one man's spawn perimeter can easily be considered another man's spawn camping... This just causes misunderstandings. Quote:

I never said it was you who was the pud! Infact, maybe the people who were doing it didn't have any idea they were doing it - hard to believe, but it's possible. Second: you're not mean, you're just an asshole!
Seriously, there's gonna be maps that it's gonna be really hard to avoid shooting someone as they spawn sometimes, and some maps where it's actually a part of the gameplay (bunkers, for example) or those instances where you're running through (to flank, for example), and just happen to have someone spawn infront of you... This is inevitable and I think everyone is aware of that & expects it from time to time. However, when it is happening more often than not, it's no longer fun but just a matter of pinning one side in their spawn, and that's just frustrating for that team of players.
Granted, there's gonna be some better players and some not so good players, and avoiding any confusion just makes it so you can still lose & have fun, dig?
Oh and killing you is way more fun than you killing me, ya prick!

Pin someone in an area and they will have to shoot from there. Until they give us mad derka powers to just run at each other and commit Jihad. Thats my four cents (deflation)
