I wanted to say thanks for saving me from the general public last night. Gee whiz, it's unbelievable how bad it gets. I generally don't mind getting made fun of, but the whole circus was getting pretty annoying. Those twerps we were in the room with got old fast.

I had fun with you guys last night, as well as AlphaQ GehaD, Keezy, Crank, Mrs. Wizz1e (Kalasomething?, lol my bad...), Crippler, Mahkila, boosted and everyone.

I still suck. And that's fine, I don't care. I have my moments every once in a while and go on a strange rampage. Man, that game can be frustrating... you feel like you're hammering the crap out of someone with a shotty and nothing happens, then the other guys takes one shot at you and takes you out.

Another thing I can't figure out... when you're rushing someone with a shotgun, what's the trick to firing as soon as you come out of the roadie run? I read you hold down A to roadie, pull back the trigger and as soon as you let up out of your run, you'll fire. I couldn't it right last night, which means that I would run right up to opponents and just stand up... like some freaky little kid running up to someone on the playground and getting right up in his face...

Then, shocked that nothing happened and my shotgun never went off, I'd just be standing there in front of my opponent waiting to have my head blown off.

Personally, I think the lag and game timing is a much more serious issue now that they've "updated" the game. It seems a lot more frustrating now... wierd things happening... anyone else agree?

I don't know about lag... I would hate to blame Woundups connection.

Good times last night. I actually felt better about my "exclamations" when I die, as I was waiting in the Dead Room, and Quo rode in on a horse named "*&^%$$#@%#"

It does feel different though. I don't know how much of it is mental, but I've seen some strange graphical glitches and such.

Quo was tearing it up last night. Also there was a set of matches were Mahkila killed everyone with a chainsaw. He just went down the line and killed everyone. Pretty cool.

I'll have to jump online and see just how ishy the general public is.

Well you can't blame my connection because Wizz1e was the host last night. But I do totally agree, since the update there has been some very strange things happening. I think the host has always had a small advantage but now it is just crazy. The host is nearly impossible to kill and seems to have a clear cut advantage with every weapon, especially the shotgun.

Quo I am glad you had fun last night. It is never fun to play with a bunch of loud people. I am not sure how long you were in the room before I showed but I know that after about 1 round of just being in the lobby with them guys I was completely annoyed and asked Wizz1e to please start another room.

Yeah, I think I actually made Keezy blush... that's what I get for always assuming i'm the first and only person in the dead pool! There were points last night when I was so frustrated i thought I my head was gonna explode. I definitely let a few fly... my bad

Lol, only in strange spurts. Nothing at all, then a run of three kills on one battle. Then nothing. Then friggin Ascension, which is a guaranteed 0-fer for me. Then taking out the last three guys 1 on 3. Then riding the )(*&@# pony in to sit with Keezy and contemplate Crippler and Wizz1e arguing over who gets the sniper rifle, watching Mahkila runs around the map with the chainsaw, which might as well actually be a lime green Poulan, because even if it had a gun attachment he wouldn't be interested...

And the ish of the general public? Mostly it's just them bantering back and forth, talking about the various sex acts they're performing on one another, who stole who's kill, saying "hey, this is only the third time i've played this map, so *()&(*& you", laughing and making fun of your skills with the sniper rifle even though you're the last one on the team still alive... Rinse, repeat...

Yeah, I've noticed that the gameplay is definitely different these days too. More than a few funky things that shouldn't be happening. Not sure if it is lag or boosted shotty power or whatnot, but definitely some weird stuff happening lately.

On a totally unrelated note, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance w/ Woundup and Aether was funny as hell... until we got stuck in the elevator together. It wouldn't have been bad, but those chick superheros don't put out.

I took a break from this game sick of all the bugs.the crap update they did just made things worse.the good thing is you can talk when you join a room and the new maps are cool but the whole host thing sucks and things like killing a whole team with 1 nade is lame.You all know what im talking about so tell epic i did

Gears definitely isn't as much fun since the update. I'm glad I can't get grenade tagged from 20 feet away, I'm not glad I can get my head popped in one shotgun shot from 20 feet away.

the update defanately increased the power of shotgun i didn't use to get blasted from acrox the map but now i do it seams like they tried to balance it up but in doing that forgot the other side. i haven't been on much since the update but like to get back into it.

It's sad to say, and I expressed this to Woundup and Peench, but I honestly got to the point last night that I didn't feel like I could play Gears of War anymore. Even when I have "good" streaks I still am not really having fun, anymore. I can't honestly say a lot of my kills are earned or deserved, moreso, I have to give credit to inconsistencies. And that goes for the way I die as well.

For example, there are times when you can be point blank with the shotgun and destroy a person in one shot, but then there are other times like last night, on The Rooftops map, where I can shoot someone from pretty much point blank range THREE times from above (aiming towards the head and torso) and still get taken out by one or two shots from someone who is probably just shooting my legs.

You said exactly what I've been feeling about this game for a long time. The campaign and co-op modes were great, but I never really enjoyed the multi-player aspect.

Btw AZ, CoD3 is the light side. Gears has to be the dark.
