| This was excellent on BD. I'll double dip when the unrated version comes out on BD. MY SVS subwoofer was shaking everything during this movie.
This was even better than when I saw it in the theater.

Nice action sequences. But, I gotta say, I'm not sure I've ever seen a plot that was so full of impossibilities and far-fetchedness. Maybe I was being too critical, but some of the stuff, like the natural gas lines exploding all around the power plant, was ridiculously not-believable. That made it a little too hard to enjoy, for me.

Have you seen Hot Fuzz? That'll explain what I'm talking about, since they relentlessly parody buddy-cop pictures like these.

| You've been spoiled, Keez. I think some films style make it look okay even on DVD, but some of it probably was expectation. You probably expected an outstanding picture quality from the DVD version of Die Hard, regardless of being just that. Whereas Superbad, you probably could care less about the picture quality so it exceeded your expectations.
Then again, it could've been just what you said: The transfer.

How is that different from other movies? Most movies are full of impossibilities and far-fetchedness just like most Tv shows.

While aspects of this movie where nuts, thier suitcase would have to be much larger to hold all that data. The concepts in general where not that far fetched. It generated some fun conversations at the security meetings I go to. We are not as protected as the government would like you to think... Take out three IXP locations could blackout internet, telco and wireless all in one shot to huge parts of the country. The major hotel here would take out most communications for WA, AK, ID, OR. While the telcos are starting to work around this there is still a lot of risk. I won't even go into Power, Water and other util.
Never the less it was a fun movie!! I thought all the Blueray versions where very well done and highly recommend them if you like these movies.
