| Saw III Okay, you guys are probably familiar with the Saw franchise. Well, I went to see this last night and gotta tell you... each movie gets progressively more brutal and grizzly on how they make someone die. This one tops both of them combined.
With that said, I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the 1st and 2nd one. This one, I didn't get a feel or couldn't sympathize with the people being tortured or the main characters as much. The first two, really developed the people who were "In the Game" whereas most of the people in number three didn't have that overall tie-in or backstory necessary to feel for them. With that said, they are STILL very gruesome and hard to watch! Holy crap... are they hard to watch...
This was one of the most brutal movies I've seen to date!

| Thanks for the info. I have been a fan of the Saw franchise. With that said, I hope this is the final one. I dont want them to ruin the series. Weaker plots covered up with more gore. My wifey wants to see this so I guess I am ordered to take her...lol. If I wanted to see a movie with drama, violence and gore, I would watch my wedding video! | |

| hahahaha..
You know, this one I think had a better "storyline" per se then the 2nd one but, with that said, I think the characters in this one just lacked some of the spunk that the other ones.

Every once in a while, I'll sneak a DVD past her (got The Hills Have Eyes a couple weeks ago). Sooo...I probably won't see this one unless I can sneak it past her when it comes out on DVD.

| Yeah, my wife hates anything horror related. She hates most violence too. She hates depressing movies.
So a lot of movies I have to watch on my own or with a friend...
Needless to say she would never watch this one.
You know as gruesome as some of the scenes in this movie were, I still find myself remembering more about the 2nd one's deaths more. I think that has to do with the feelings connected to those characters and being able to feel more for them than the ones in this one, like I mentioned. I dunno, you just have to see it, I guess to know what I mean..
I'm somewhat ragging on this movie when I shouldn't too much. While the first two were better, I still enjoyed this one a good amount. So, I can still recommend it if you are a horror fan!

| yeah, that might be good to wait on this one, if you feel you can. Like I said, I enjoyed it, but it wasn't at the same level as the first two, for me at least. There are others out there that may think otherwise, though! | |

| See, thats where I am lucky. My wife loves going to see these movies. She usually drags me to the theater for them. I think when the girl was thrown into the hypodermic pit, that was probably the only thing that bothered me in the 2nd one. In the first was when he sawed his foot off. | |

| there are a few things that kind of stuck out in this one.. It has been said to be the most brutal of the three, and I tend to agree!
If that's what you're lookin' for, look no further! This will fill that void of excessive violence raging inside!! haha

| That seems to be the "IN" theme right now... There are a ton of flicks that seem excessivly brutal. I guess I am getting old. That used to work for me, but not much anymore | |
