I really thought it would be fun to bring back the Joker in a future role, but it'd be impossible to replace Heath Ledger.

Bale is actually contingent on Nolan writing and directing, so that says alot. Wither or not Joker can be played by another, or if Nolan would entertain that, who knows. He left that open in the movie, and I'd think if the story dictates that character, and casting could find another person to bring back the character, then why not?
I've been pondering a new villain, and am thinking it would have to be a group of villans perhaps. One Joker was not even enough for this movie, so we have to step up the villans strength or numbers. But since Batman is only human, his enemies almost have to be the same. Maybe a martial arts crew from Tibet or something. I guess we will see in a few years.

Snake, you're a man after my own heart. Beckinsale and Beil are probably the two hottest chicks out there right now.

Anyway, I say this one yesterday in between classes (I have a 6-hour lapse). Great movie. Much better than the first one, which I didn't care for too much (not a fan of the Batman character). It was a bit over-dramatic at points, but I thought the overall pacing of the story was excellent. It didn't seem like a 2 1/2 hour movie. I wouldn't see it again in the theater, but I will buy it when it hits Bluray.
Aaron Eckhart and Heath Ledger stole the show as others have said. I've never been a huge fan of either, but they sold me on their characters. And while Heath did an amazing job and certainly went out with a bang, I don't think he's completely responsible for creating that character. I think John and Christopher Nolan deserve the credit for the majority of the dialogue. Heath just took it up a notch with his mannerisms.

| I'm planning to see this for a third time this coming Saturday at the IMAX theater. They have a 9:15 showing that should be early enough that a lot less people will be interested in so I should be good to go.
Yeah, I loved this movie. My favorites for this year are Iron Man and The Dark Knight. Everything else was just filler.
Yep, and I went out on my lunch break today to go get the soundtrack. Have the first one, had to get the 2nd one.
And... I really want to get the lego toys. How sad is that.

Beckinsale =
Beil=
Although her acting is not that great, my vote would have been Megan Fox...

| dolfan, yes. I will be picking up Lego Batman, but actually maybe for the PS3. I already have Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones for the PS3, might as well keep it on the same system. | |

I'm vetoing Depp, though. Don't bring back the Joker character. R.I.P. the Joker character. When you have a role that's played so well it's almost perfect, you know you're not going to do it again with a different actor, so why even try?
If they're running out of ideas for villains, I'm sure they can get Sylvester Stallone to play the Ice Man or something.
