At the Movies...

Anyone else interested in seeing the newest Texas Chainsaw flick. I was pretty impressed with the previous remake. This one looks pretty bad arse too. R. Lee Ermey is in it, how can it be bad?

If this isnt your style, post any that you are looking forward to

Moved this to the movie forum dude.

I am not really looking forward to this, but I'd like to see it. I liked the remake one enough, so I think I may enjoy this.

meh.i wanted to see the new Scorsese film "the departed" with dicaprio, mark wahlberg, jack nicholson. i was thinking along the lines of something like SEVEN, but it wasnt 1/2 as gorey and i thought it was a little long.
the prequel to chainsaw makes me weary.
im really tired of the rehash of old horror movies in hollywood.
its like they cant think of anything else so they're doing remakes of old american thrillers, and all those new japanese remakes. which are bullshit. im actually offended at how bad a job they do on them because america cant stand to actually read subtitles.
the only thing impression about the horror coming out today is SAW.
and they're on their 3rd sequel coming out soon. i actually wasnt disappointed in the 2nd one so we'll see how the 3rd one goes.

there needs to be a serious revival soon as far as horror movies go.

yeah.im picky.

I just finished up my thoughts on The Departed. I really liked it. I heard Scorsese films were gory, and this had its moments, but it was no Se7en. I just really like Mark Wahlberg. He was excellent in I Heart Huckabees, and cracks me up in any movie he is in, since, even if he is totally serious.

I'm not at all excited about Texas Chainsaw. Remakes and sequels are getting to be old. Saw was good, but I really don't think the first one can be topped.

Well, for anyone who cares.. we just got back from TSM remake and all I can say is wow. Not sure if its a good or bad wow. It was way more violent and gory then what i have seen from the other movies in the series. IF you like wholesale slaughter and like watching sledgs to the face and meat skinned from onlooking victims, give it a try. I am no sissy to blood or gore, but even I turned away a few times.

Really? Man... I would probably be in the same boat as you if I saw it. Not sure if that is a good or bad wow. Is it like Hostel gory?

I have not seen Hostel yet, but this was as Peench would say "Brutal". It was pretty much non-stop gore. One thing that I did enjoy very much was watching how vicious R. Lee Ermey was. He was such a bartstard the whole movie.

Actually Cujo, Hostel doesn't get gory until about an hour and fifteen minutes in, then it's pretty much non-stop. And yes, I loved every minute of it.

My dad watched it with me and he thought I was some sick puppy because I had a smile on my face the whole time. I later had to explain to him that the reason for my smirk is that I just can't wait to make a movie like that; a bloody, gore-filled movie. It's going to be awesome.

You are correcto mundo, Keezster. It takes a good hour to get going. In the first hour, you might as well say to yourself, "Yes, I'd like to see exactly what goes on in the Red Light District."

Eli Roth, the pretentious film brat that made Hostel, is an inordinate douche bag. No lie.
