At the Movies...

I guess I'm to old now to get into this type of movie, the remake of TCM a few years back was lame, only thing that kept me watching was Jessica Beils upper body. The Hostel was total crap if you ask me. My type of horror film is more like Silence of the lambs or Hannibal. Athough I do like the SAW movies.

I just don't care for the high schoolish type horror flicks.

I didn't hate Cabin Fever, but I despised Hostel. The acting was absolutely terirble too. Wasn't that kid in that terrible movie with Kirsten Dunst as well?

If you want to make a horror film Mr. Roth, that's fine, but don't try to pass it off as what you're doing is cinematic gold. You made a cheesy low-budget horror film on a big hollywood budget and it looked like a big hollywood budget. You get no pass for that.

Cabin Fever was fine, the end joke was pretty funny, but the whole thing seemed totally implausible. I'd watch Cabin Fever again though, where Hostel I would not... unless I was in the mood for 45 minutes of boobs, which I sometimes am.

Kirsten Dunst? I know the one guy in Hostel is in World Trade Center but I didn't know he did anything else.

As far a cheesy acting goes, I don't think I've ever seen a cheesier acted horror movie out side of SAW. I can't watch that disasterpiece. Did they even pay Cary Elwes? Why the hell is Danny Glover in here? And who is that other guy in the room that keeps yelling "I don't know!"

agreed. I hated SAW and didn't see the sequel(s). I felt like it was an acting exercise with amateurs.

And that dude was is Crazy Beautiful with her I think.

The other guy in Hostel was in Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. The first movie is in my all time top 10. I can watch it over and over. The sequel/prequel didn't need to be made. It's just bad.

And I totally forgot about Session 9. If anyone wants to see an independant thriller/horror film done right, watch this movie. The shot of the chair in the hallway still gives me the creeps.
