| Anyone looking forward to seeing 300? From the previews this looks like a pretty cool movie. I guess I like big battle movies: Troy, Gladiator, etc., especially one's with a w/ a "Greek" look to them (I guess that's why I liked Troy so much when others thought it sucked). | |

Peench which book are you referring to the hardcover reissue? I've been meaning to get it myself. There's a good article with Gerard Butler (King Leonidas sp?) in this months Men's Health. | |

| Frank Miller's comic is one and the same as the movie. So you might want to check that out if you're interested in it. Not sure what peench read but, check that out too  | |

I know I recommended Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield to some folks in one thread. It's a historical novel about the Spartan society in general and the Battle of Thermopylae specifically. One of the best books I've read over the past few years. It's much more historically driven than fantasy-based, though, so I don't know if it will appeal to the same folks as this movie does. | | |
