| Ghost Rider I went to see Ghost Rider yesterday with the wife and have to say, I was VERY underwhelmed.
There wasn't much explanation for what was going on, the flow felt very choppy, plus the acting was very cheesy at times...
Skip this one.
It also didn't help that the theater had the sound down-mixed to STEREO. We were only getting sound out of the front left and right channels and on top of that, I think the speakers were blown because there were some distortion whenever there was talking or action happening.
So rediculous. That theater used to be THX certified, though not anymore, and I was hoping that they would keep the same level of standard but it seems I won't be going back to that theater again... Plus they raised their prices, too...

| Nicholas Cage doesn't scream super hero for me. I had no ambition to see this movie once I saw he was the rider. | |

| I haven't seen it but I agree Swagger. From the previews this movie looks to have taken too much of a comedic approach. Can't remember his name off the top of my head, but I think the Punisher would have been a good fit for the roll. | |

| There are a good number of Comic Book turned Movie renditions that aren't cheesy. The first two Batmans (by Tim Burton) were not, Batman Begins as well. Punisher, which was mentioned before...
I agree that this one should have been darker. It would show hints of darkness and then it would take a lighter turn which maybe was what I was feeling part of the flow problem was.

| Ghost rider should of been awesome, the part where you see him Riding up the |Building or just him riding on the street where my Favorite parts.
Maybe Nicholas Cage wasn't meant to be a superhero, But we can all agree that They should make a Prequel to Face off,
Castor Troy : The Criminal Mind
Castor Troy : The Rise
Castor Troy : & The Golden Dualies
something along those lines

Nick Cage is an asshole, and he plays the same character in every single movie he's in.
I'm surprised that Uwe Boll didn't direct this, or at least that hack that did those Underworld trashflicks. Crap like this is why people don't expect much from a comic book flick, and it's why comic book films get the greenlight to underwhelm. Stop giving this shit ticket sales and go see a well thought out film like Zodiac instead. If you don't like to think just take a nap, why waste money napping in a theater?

From the clownish action sequences to the wholly unoriginal storyline, the only thing I could somewhat tolerate was the fact that they needed to film the whole thing at night because they couldn't afford decent special effects because they needed to pay Bill Nighy, the only non-B list actor in it.
It just wasn't my bag, but everyone likes something different. I felt dumber for having watched it, but I watched it so who am I to complain right?

| Matchstick men was a very un-nick cage-like movie. An odd, but great twisty one too. | |
