The pilot was AWESOME! I want to watch it on TV. I want to know more about the story. I want to know more about the characters. It is driving me crazy that you haven't called me back!! Sure I've called you 63 times over the last 12 hours, but that's how intrigued I am after the teaser you sent.

For those of you who aren't Breath, allow me to explain. Breath is our very own Hollywood writer. He's had at least one show that I'm aware of make it on the air. He recently sent me a script for a pilot that he put together. It was very, very interesting to say the least. I'm dying to learn more about the story, the characters and the overall idea of the show.

Well, I gotta say that this show has about a 1% chance of seeing the light of the day....so let's start with that. As much as I love it, I know how reality tends to work.

That being said, I can tell you that it's a show about a town with a lot of weird in it. Kind of like an X-Files meets Eerie Indiana type of thing. It's a drama-dy, meaning it's got comedy wrapped in a nice Drama wrapper....with nougat on the inside. Mmmmm, nougat.

The title is indeed "Population: Pending." I felt it spoke a lot about the town without saying a lot. Simple = in my book.

I'm rooting for you bro. I loved the pilot transcript. The person in the car with me (I read it out loud) liked it too. She did complain that my voice acting needs work, but other than that she was intrigued.

If nothing else, you gotta call me and flesh things out for me. If it doesn't make it into a TV show, you better write a book or something so I can figure out the rest of the stuff that's going on... I'm already hooked!!

IT sounds like a Eureka type show, A Town with wierd in it, a lil drama, and some comedy with nougat in the middle. Nougat is off da hooks, DAMN RIGHT!

I Liked Eureka a lot, and i like a town with Wierd in it too. I love Sci-Fi and comedy so it would probably be a hit to me. Thanks for that lil Detail, I see you are skilled in the art of Suspense Give me little i want more!

Well, it's changing a bit from what you've read, Peench, but still keeps the same tone and characters are before.

I need to chat with you to see what you think worked/didn't work. Getting a lot of feedback on something like this can only do good. Someone will see or feel something that other people won't. It's always that way.

I was working on Population: Pending when I saw the first spot for Eureka, actually. My first thought was, "damnit!" Actually, it probably involved a harsher word than that.

But then I saw the first episode of Eureka, and knew I was fine. That show is more about a self contained group of scientists. My show is darker, and is a little bit more about the horrors on the underneath layer of the town. The layer people choose to ignore, or at least refuse to believe.

It's funny you mention Twin Peaks. I actually started off thinking I would have a show much like that. Then that changed to a more tongue-in-cheek humored show...with dark tones.

I liked the balance between the humor and the darkness. And the sci-fi-ness and the characters. I dug it. Now you HAVE to explain more to me. I'm dying to find out what the heck is going on! And I hope those twins are hot!! Nothing more awesome than hot psycho twins!

If you guys are doing this to build up anticipation for this thing... IT'S WORKING~!!! How do I get my hands on the pilot script? Do i have to sign an NDA? Do I have to say Peench is god...or perhaps more sinister...actually allow Keezy in the Halo 3 beta?

As much as I trust everyone on PGL, well....besides Wondermonkey of course, I don't want to post my pilot in a thread or anything, for obvious reasons. It's the only reason I'm a bit cryptic in my descriptions of the pilot.

I mean, it's a registered script, meaning that if someone stole it....I have my proof and could take legal action. But it's still not something I want to do.

Wow, it's hard to not sound all a-hole-ish I guess. I'm just trying to say that I'm keeping it in a small circle right now.

Besides, this thing is DEFINITELY first draft. Some typos, lots of things that will be changed, etc. It's readable, but there are some parts that have already made me cringe upon re-reading.

While I like it a lot, the Pilot that Peench read is something I feel is good, but not quite great....yet
